If there is a hell, this boy surely will be heading there.

Good point, but I wonder if he's controlled by his mother of father etc., but of course it still doesn't make it OK for him to play games as he has been doing.

Made me shake my head when I read he departed Thailand just a few days ago. Since they are just issuing a summons for his arrest he's been able to legally come and go as he pleases for years.

Whole family have a case to answer IMHO.

I would like to see him arrested as well as those that didn't take him into custody in the first place when they had the chance.

Excellent point.

And probably true if several billion Baht has changed hands still not even a small dent if the family fortunes and revenues.

Not sure he can run and hide as easily as Thaksin was able to. Thaksin could always play the political persecution card. This guy is running from serious charges that are from a legal and moral stand point harder to defend.

How much does he have compared to what Thaksin had? I said in the poll I think he will be prosecuted and stand by that. The first step is in place.

I think the case for asking other countries to extradite him is much stronger.

In fact I wonder if the public outrage (and their is outrage - my Thai son says all his friends are talking about it with disgust, and my uni students are on the case much more than before, and outraged) has reached a point where public pressure will win.

Absolutely no jail time, fine and a suspended sentence if that. Shameful reflection of the system here and now it's in the open for all the world to see, quite how the authorities can try to explain this as adequate practice is beyond me. Even between themselves surely there must be some shame at how this is being handled?

Well technically that would mean he was prosecuted.

Wasnt really directed at your post. The poll itself is worded pretty badly. It simpyl asks if we think he will be prosecuted which is at this point almost a certainty. It doesn't mention anything about if he will escape conviction or punishment. A better poll would ask if people think he will escape jail time.

That I am less certain about but being prosecuted was an easy call.
