Family man dead as pick-up ploughs into sedan

KRABI: -- One man was killed while three others were severely injured after a speeding pick-up truck and a Toyota sedan collided, sending both vehicles into a roadside waterway in Krabi yesterday afternoon.

Consumer bodies slam NSRA stance on media reform

They call for new bill allowing for co-regulation between citizens and media

 

BANGKOK: -- Consumer organisations on Tuesday issued a statement strongly criticising the National Reform Steering Assembly’s endorsement of the controversial draft bill on media regulation, and vowed not to be part of the so-called media professional council unless the NRSA removes the clauses that infringe on the people’s rights to information.

NSA collected Americans' phone records despite law change - report

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. National Security Agency collected more than 151 million records of Americans' phone calls last year, even after Congress limited its ability to collect bulk phone records, according to an annual report issued on Tuesday by the top U.S. intelligence officer.
