 Still need that type of cleaning-product, which I did not know, seems to be a Brit-thing. Need to remove some very sticky, gummy

substance from some wall, almost tar-like. Nothing so far has worked, but a Brit painter-expert pointed me to sugar-soap. THX. MS>

Never seen sugar soap sold here and have a similar problem of someone using very sticky black foam all over the walls instead of drilling holes to hang things on....tried using a WD40 like penetrating oil (sonax) with marginal success...I would have thought there would be some product sold here that gets rid of the sticky stuff as Thais seem to love sticking things all over the wall with double sided tape that's almost impossible to remove...but maybe they just sand the wall down and repaint ?
