My landlord is out reach for a week and I need to change DNS settings in wifi router in my condo. Model HG630 V2 Home Gateway.

Is there any default password or one that falls in a certain pattern? Tried default "admin" and "3bb" - nope.

PS: And note to self-assigned paranoid vigilantes: Yes, I have the permission.

 

There is no default password. Both the user name and password are on a sheet of paper that 3BB gives you when they install the modem in your home.

I guess I can help you. I have the same Router. On the backside of your device you will find a sticker. Check the MAC address. The last 4 characters are my password.

 

Username is: admin

That is not the question being asked. 

My method will give him admin access to the router what he does after that is up to him.

I have one of those too have you managed to find any updated firmware for it ? I'd like to use it as a wifi repeater but 3bb firmware doesn't have that option.

i bought a new router of Linksys model Linksys EA6350. when i try to Change Linksys Router Password and try to set my own id and password it shows error. how can i solve this?

I called 3bb and they walked me through it in English.  It was a funny password.  I looked but can't find it.  Maybe they will help you if you explain the situation.  Call them and they call back in an hour or so.
