Is anyone using this provider, and if so, are you satisfied? My wife just ordered the service and paid 5,000 baht for the system and installation. I seriously doubt the advertised speed of 200/80 Mbps will be delivered. I hope I am wrong. If it works as promised, it will be cheaper than the AIS 50GB post paid package. The TOT package is 1,200 baht per month.

I am using ToT fibre since 3 years and have little to complain.

I changed speed rating a couple of times (started at 20/10 ? or so).

Due to limitation of my installation I am currently "stuck" at 50/20 for 802 Baht after tax.

And even if could further increase I wouldn't feel a difference.

What do these rates mean:

of course you will hardly find a site hosted outside of Thailand that can deliver such a rate.

And what for? What is your common/typical use of the internet?

Heavy cloud dependent? Torrent?

Had it for a year and half and it's been great for me. Quite reliable. Speed is OK as per KhunBENQ above.

I really have very little information. This is all they gave my wife. I told her that I wanted their best package. I download a lot of talking books. I also play with custom roms for phones. Many are 1.5GB.20170610_095729.thumb.jpg.659c7889fc092cb34543ae0801dcba73.jpg;

Peanuts

By theory(!) it would be complete in a minute or so at 200 MBit/s.

In reality it much depends on the location/load/performance of the server and could also be 30 min or the like.

1.5GB is a common size for downloaded movies. Download overnight and it doesn't make a whole lot of difference whether you're on 50/20 or 200/80. Streaming football in Full HD and downloading movies is no problem, so unless you have lots of people gaming and downloading at the same time then 50/20 or 80/20 will be more than adequate for most home users.

We have this package, manages better than 100Mbs every time (on testmy.net).

Just tested right now AND I'm watching the BBC HD stream

Happy?

Looks great. Unfortunately they can't install the system for fifteen days. I'll post a review after they get it installed.

Any particular reason you'd be talking about watching a BBC stream, and then post a speed test done via an endpoint server in Tokyo Japan?

I have been asking myself the same question

TOT brings the fibre optic connection

To 1st floor of my building

THen hooks it up to a copper line

21 floors to.my unit

I am wondering how much the copper line will degrade the speed

Anyone outbthere have an idea

Officially it should not be a problem.

We're on the 50/20 package for Bht700 - we get pretty much what it says on the tin. Been with TOT for thirteen years here in Hat Yai, very happy with them. They brought the fibre connection direct to the modem on the 2nd floor and at the back of the house. The wires outside run past the windows on the 2nd floor anyway, so easier than dropping it down to the ground floor. The 50/20 package will be plenty enough if all you're doing is talking books and custom roms,  200/80 would be serious overkill.
