PATTAYA:--Banglamung District authorities raided a Pattaya-area motorcycle garage that specialized in illegal racing modifications.

 

District Chief Naris Niramaiwong led the June 2 raid of the Nittiphat garage in Moo 12 village, seizing 25 motorbikes, 20 illegally loud exhaust systems and large numbers of spare parts. The famed owner and lead mechanic, known to racing aficionados as “Chang Bird” left the shop before the raid.

 

Manager Athit Janhom was arrested and charged with doing business without a license and selling uncertified industrial products.

Naris claimed that Nittiphat is responsible for modifying many of the motorbikes raced illegally at night on area highways

Did he know it was coming?  Are these 'authorities' the ones who've just been given new bikes as a reward for 'serving and protecting' the public?
