Heathrow Airport Terminals 3 and 5 baggage system failure

 

LONDON: -- People heading out of Heathrow are facing flights without their luggage after the airport's baggage system failed.

 

Passengers have been advised to pack essential items in their hand luggage.

 

Heathrow said the system had failed at Terminals 3 and 5 but said other terminals were unaffected.

What! They were telling people they can't take their bags but "must" fly!!!!!!!!

Were they allowing them to take overweight carry on? Were they rescheduling those that needed the stuff in their bags?

 

Are they INSANE? Haven't they learned anything from the BA fiasco? Are they completely incompetent?

^Probably yes to all three.

A few years ago I flew BA London/Aberdeen. I arrived, bag didn't. At Aberdeen the guy phoned London and said ' check system 5 or something like that. It seems one of the conveyors used to spit a bag or two off at a sharp turn in the system.

Got my bag next day.
