DSI looking into sale of damaged army vehicles

BANGKOK, 10th July 2017 (NNT) – The Department of Special Investigations (DSI) is to hold a meeting this week with the aim of forming an investigative team to look into the sale of state vehicles.

Deputy Spokesman for the DSI Pol Maj Woranan Srilam said the agency is to look into a case submitted by the Director-General of the Department of Land Transport (DLT), who indicated some 1,136 damaged vehicles of the Depot of Army Transporation were put up for sale on the open market using forged documents.

Pol Maj Woranan said that the criminal offense of document forgery is usually not in the jurisdiction of the DSI but as the case has major implications for the nation the agency will have to consider it.

DSI Director-General Pol Col Paisit Wongmuang is now assigning duties and may have the Office of Regional Special Cases, which is already handling the high-end vehicle tax evasion case, look into this matter as well. The DSI has acknowledged the two cases may be linked.

The agency is to meet this week to plan its work on the case.

Mythbusters managed to bend a gun barrel 180 degrees and it still shot a bullet...the Germans had a 90 degree fire round corners gun in WWll. !!

Either they don't take are of their vehicles or there is a war on some place we haven't heard about.

The Army are up there with best when it come to corruption. The RTP, the education system and customs take plenty of cream. But the Army are the consummate professionals and don't get much publicity because they are at arms length with the public.

It's all jolly clever until the opposition run straight at you, then you're "Donald Ducked"!

Just look at the "made in...." sticker. That should give you a clue.

Well ....... you could "turn your turret" but you would need to be a real "tanker" to know that......
