BANGKOK: -- A 3-member team of the Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) and the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) arrived in the United States Monday to escort a former notorious monk back for trial at home.

The team led by DSI director-general Pol Col Phaisit Wongmuang flew to the US after the Californian Court decided to hand over the former monk, Luang Pu Nen Kham, to Thai authorities to face charges of sexual assault of a minor, money laundering, and breaching of Computer Act.

Director-general of the OAG’s International Affairs Department Mr Amnart Chotechai said the team left yesterday and arrived today in the US. The team is ready to escort the former monk, now Mr Wirapol Sukphol, 38, back.

About time the authorities started getting their at together regarding this piece of excrement.

Now keep going a few more low lifes need bring in to face the music.

A nice foreign trip, all expenses paid with government money, for the chaps sent to baby sit the monk on his trip back "home"...the monk will surely show with a few brown enveloppes that all the hassle was a "big misunderstanding":cheesy:

By the way, any news of the red bull boss heir?:cheesy:

this guy might be in s#it if he has run out of funds. wonder if he can become a monk to get out of it.

Already reported, he's been raking in massive amounts of cash whilst on the run in the US.

I'm sure they are well aware of the time it may take for the court to process his extradition appeal. also interesting that nobody in the media had the guts to ask how many members they need to baby sit a former monk, and if they all come back in his private jet.

doubt he will get any real jail time then.

Now we are waiting for the DSI to bring home the RED BULL heir - obviously not impossible ....

WOW, how on earth did they manage to get the paperwork in order so promptly, because they haven't even got the Red Bull heirs ready yet, I smell something fishy, papa-yah ?

They should have gone to Silverstone and picked up 'Boss' at the Grand Prix. Kill two birds with one stone.
