webfact Posted July 19, 2017 Posted July 19, 2017 Nurse killed in car crash in Nonthaburi By The Nation BANGKOK: -- A nurse was killed when her car crashed into the rear of a truck on an expressway in Nonthaburi and caught fire early Wednesday. The driver was identified as Kannikar Wongthongthiew, 27, a nurse of the Thammasat Hospital. The accident happened at 1am on the inbound Siraj expressway about 500 metres beyond the Chaengwattana gate in Nonthaburi’s Pakkret district. Pakkret police said the car caught fire after the crash and rescuers took about 15 minutes to put out the blaze. It took another 30 minutes before they could remove the woman's burned body from the car. Jorayut said the car crashed into the rear of a truck driven by Pornchai Sirisaeng, 51.
