Thai wheelchair racer wins silver medal in World Para Athletics Championships

LONDON, 19 July 2017 (NNT) – Thai wheelchair racer Pongsakorn Paeyo won a silver medal from a T53 wheelchair race in World Para Athletics Championships 2017. 

Pongsakorn, the Thai wheelchair racer who had grabbed two gold and two silver medals from 2016 Paralympics in Brazil won the silver medal from the male 200-meter T53 wheelchair race in World Para Athletics Championships 2017 in London. 

He reached the goal at the same time with Canadian rival Brent Lakatos. He lost to Lakatos by split seconds. The 25.29 seconds which Pongsakorn Paeyo made has broken a record. 

Another Thai wheelchair racer Rawat Tana finished at fourth place in the 1,500-meter T54 race at 3.04.98 minutes, while Saichon Konjen finished at ninth place at 3.06.37 minutes.
