Booking a flight

Featured Replies

Hi I need to book a flight to the UK I don't have a credit / debit card and I don't like to book online as I'm hopless with computers

Can anyone recommend a travel agent in bkk and what is the procedure in buying a ticket from them I'm worried incase they make a mistake or say I haven't paid

You can book flights and pay at 7-11...

Do some google searches...

Get a friend to help..

Do you have a preferred airline/flight?

To London Heathrow?

If you give details (approximate or exact date departing/returning) one could look up the options.

If airline is determined it might be feasible to visit them at a city office or an airport ticket counter and pay cash?
I put a ? as it's ages that I visited a travel agent or ticket counter.

Someone knows?

I only know that it is possible for some domestic carriers.

Does that work for arbitrary overseas flights?

I know that you can do for some domestic carriers, but to UK?

Dunno, but worth a look...

People have asked this question before. Try the search box at the top right hand of screen. Or post the question in the Bangkok forum more people will see it than on this travel forum.

here's an old thread with a recommendation On the last post....

Or the thread starters previous thread on this?

I follow the hint and move this to the Bangkok forum leaving a link in the Travel forum.

How can booking a flight be any more difficult than making a post on here?  Tricky questions of course, like "what is your name".....but really, is it that hard?

i often use tv air bookings (in this case 'tv' does not refer to thai visa !).  you can call them at 02 664 8500.  they have an office in the emporium shopping mall.  you can reserve a ticket via phone and then follow up with a cash payment.

As the poster wrote, he has no credit or debit card.

And I went through BA online booking yesterday and end in credit card payment only (and paypal).

Most unlikely, it's generally Airasia and other regional flights. OP probably doesn't have any other option than a travel agent - online bookings require credit or debit cards.

Not all, Emirates does have a Western Union payment option which does actually work once you can find a WU office that has any clue what you are asking about, I did it a few years back.

Totally understandle situation and fair play for being honest regarding your weakness.

I am just purging all my emails to find the english speaking travel agent I used in store in onnut, bkk. Give me an hour or so. There is also this option?

Can someone pay your flight on your behalf and if so why not contact flight centre in the UK. Here is a contact for booking.

[email protected]

Could all be done by email and you could take an image of your passport page and have them complete the data.

Will try to find the other option mentioned above.

English speaking travel agent bkk punawithi

Skyhightravel88.com

Sukhumvit 101/1

Soi Wachiratham 57

Open 10-5  mon-sat

Can pay cash and be issued ticket on the spot.

How is it even possible to survive in the modern world without a credit or debit card? To draw money form the ATM, you at least need to have a debit card. Are you perhaps one of the African people who hang around on Lower Sukhumvit at night who don't even have a bank account (but are more than happy to take your cash)?

You may be asked at "check in" for the card used. If you dont have it you would need something from the cardholder to confirm they purchased it for you etc.

Don't most airlines require that the cardholder also be traveling?  Do they have exceptions to that?
