Laotian woman found hanged in Pathum Thani boarding house

By The Nation

BANGKOK: -- A Laotian woman was found hanged in her rented room in Pathum Thani’s Thanyaburi district in what is believed to be a suicide, police said.

Pol Lieutenant Ratanaporn Boonhansa, officer on duty of Pratunam Chulaborn Police Station, was alerted to the death at about 11.30pm.

Ratanaporn said Yui Tamali, 22, had lived on the third floor of the 59 Mansion boarding house on Soi Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok 59.

A doctor, who inspected the body with police, said she had died two or three days earlier.

Police detected no sign of foul play.

More than Bt20,000 and other valuables were left in the room.

Yui’s friend told police she went to the room to tell Yui she had received something from the dead woman’s mother.

She said when Yui did not respond to the door being knocked, she alerted the boarding house owner.

The owner opened the room with a spare key.
