Does every one forget where they came from ? Yes sure Thailand has its problems , but the rest of the world is the same . Take your rose coloured blades off . All western countries have massive drug problems witch is slowly taking hold here . Other cultures taking over . There is corruption in every country in the world . But here it's in you face and open for all to see . You can't flick a copper a couple of hundred baht , when you can't be bothered wearing your helmet or your half cut . It's beautiful weather . How many have taken there lady's back home . Huge head ache, can't flick the IO some $s or £s to sort it for you .very expensive and lots of hoops to jump through . Many of us just need to go back home for a little rest when it gets to much . You will feel so good when you get back . Pick an early morning or late evening flight arriving in BKK or DMK and you will sale straight through . Beer , food , lady's if you want them , are all cheap . ENJOY . We all no it's worse back home that's why we're here . SMILE .

Time to inform the people in the neighbouring countries to boycot Thailand and to offer their labour elsewhere, where respect and dignity still means something...

Thais disrespecting their own laws in their own country is their own affair and by and large not a valid foreigner actionable concern (unless actually victimized by it) and absolutely no justification for foreigners violating Thai laws themselves.   Foreigners that knowingly do so on that pretext deserve everything they get, up to and including imprisonment, deportation, and a lifetime ban, and no sympathy.  There's no reason at all for Thais to tolerate it.  It hardly even needs saying because it's common sense, but foreigners who choose to reside in Thailand simply need to accept this.  Is it a "double standard"?   Yes (and definitely not the only example of it).  Deal with it, and  welcome to reality.   Leave your civil disobedience and sense of entitlement at home.
