7-Eleven Introduces Convenient PromptPay QR Code Payments Nationwide
"We" - the 5.5B mobile banking useres - are are a pretty large group. And we're going to outnumber your group of fear mongering technophobes soon. In Thailand more bank account holders use mobile banking than not, and usage will likely increase again with the digital wallet scheme. You're swimming against the tide. RE scanning QR codes, as has already been pointed out that doesn't relate to Prompt Pay. I'll spare you the technicalities (which have already been explained on this thread) and leave it at this. Not using Prompt Pay due to fear of malicious QR codes is roughly equivalent to fear of on-online computer banking (which you claim to be comfortable with) because emails with malicious links are sent to computers. You may want to look for a new place to live soon. Thailand is way ahead of the curve on becoming a cashless society. And the vast majority of Thais don't care what a handful of technophobe fear mongering farangs think about it. -

Used car market in a jam as electric vehicles spark trouble
Ah, correct. You jumped in with the "I don't care about...". Kind of odd, as it gives the impression that you are the one who asked the original question. Hence the confusion. 🤷♂️ -

Proof of Address form
Certificate of residency is free in Hua Hin immigration if you put the application in on the first floor with the information desk and wait a week. I think you need passport photo and 1 or two copies from passport. I picked mine up last week. -

This is an example of what Freud would call "projection." The Dems always accuse Trump and the Republicans of what they themselves are doing! -
