A friend who joined Thai Friendly (it`s not me really), told me that he found it almost impossible to hold conversations with Thai women on there.

 

He received messages either from the women first or after he contacted them mostly a Hi, or a; How are you? When he replied back with details about himself or a general conversation, he received back a few worded sentences. Sometimes he managed to connect with the women he met on TF onto their LINE. Same again, limited conversations and in the middle of a conversation some women would disappear or not respond again for 20 minutes or more. My friend managed a couple of successes on TF that he actually met, but these women mostly asked for money or were nothing like their profiles on TF. In the end he became bored and gave it up.

demand and supply; there are far more men than women on the site therefore they have more choice and don't need to behave in a polite way. add to that many women there are not actually looking for a relationship or to even meet someone in the real world, they are bored with their lives and chatting on line getting attention and compliments from guys massages their ego, same as the old 'check rating' game they play. however it's a step up from looking for girls in bars.

I agree with what you say. My friend told me that many of the younger more desirable women don`t even bother looking at guys profiles, they just log in and there are already scores of guys in their message boxes. It`s well known that the guys go on those dating sites looking for sex and the women, a lot are time wasters, scammers or trying to obtain money from poor, sexually deprived old Farlangs. Quite a a lot of the women`s profiles are probably fake.

 

My message to the OP is; don`t waste your money on those crap dating sites. Try the free versions first and if women really like him, they`ll give their ID Line details where the OP can chat with them for free.

 

Another free Thai dating website is Thai Flirting. It`s almost a carbon copy of Thai Friendly without the restrictions Thai Friendly places on free members.

If you are half decent looking and a reasonably polite chap then Thaifriendly can be a very good place to meet people for 'serious dating'. You may get your odd weirdo but you get that anywhere. However, be aware that there are many guys on the site, so girls can afford to be relatively choosey - which is a great thing for them as the days of having to date grandpa's are over for many who date for money.

 

Never paid for the site though, only worth it if you are looking to meet a few girls a day (many free apps for that so would be waste of time).

 

Met my wife on the site. She's all things Thai (affectionate, caring, cute). But also half intelligent, and a director of government department at age 29. So have ended up with a house I don't have to pay for, free health, schooling for kids, and her pension will be bigger than the Australian one when retires. Plus Thai government pay me if she dies. She had a few friends who joined the site after our wedding, so some reasonable, young, cute, independent women are on the site with good jobs, ie not after a farang's money. 

 

But again, they have many options to go through and they aren't about to meet a guy that easy who isn't really worth their time. Apps are much easier to meet people - can meet a girl half an hour after talking to them. But there is a reason for that, usually many of the girls on the apps are meeting different guys on a nightly to weekly basis, so more of a fun thing.

Right, some seem to be very well informed. What I do know and don`t need to be a genius to assume, is that most women want young, handsome and rich.  I doubt this is an easy task in Thailand as many Farlangs under 50 who are not old enough to retire are here either for the short term or working mostly as teachers or netizens and doing visa runs.

Not really my experience with Thaifriendly. Many girls were hard working women or had their own money/properties/cars (25-30 bracket). A few girls before I met my wife that I talked to had more money than I could ever dream of having, had already travelled the world, owned their own condo etc. 

 

Dynamics in society are changing. Yes, you get the money hungry ones, but there are many out there who are either rich or have good jobs and are not seeking money. Not too different from my Thai friends who were studying back in Melbourne, all quite rich and would refuse to let me pay if we ever went out. I moved here at 26 with no money, so it was purely on my wife to be able to support me. Provided a house, car and got me a very easy going job. When we married, the wife of the District Office Chief told my wife you shouldn't expect him to work moving from first world to Thailand. 

 

But yes, if young and look okay then it is easier to find people. Money is more of a bonus. I usually used the issue of sin sord to find out if girls were after money or not. Would never seriously date a girl who expected sin sord as I knew of so many girls and Thai families who chose their daughters happiness over sin sord - regardless of their status, always ways around it.

I don't see how anyone can know the numbers of men vs woman for different ages.    As. 57 yr old I was under the impression that there are many more women than men.  

I think it also may depend on where a woman lives, her career, spare time, etc.   If a gal lives in BKK and doesn't work early hours she can go to night clubs. If she is a teacher out in the province not to many options for a woman.     I think it's much better to get their line I'd ASAP.  On free TF you can send a message every 10 minutes.  Just go to line soon and do a video verification ASAP to make sure they look like their pictures.

Of course the younger guys are going to get the pick of the crop of desirable younger women, it just means that the older guys have to try harder and put more effort into meeting women unless they lower their sights and aim for women over 50.

 

I bet if an older guy were to upload photos of himself standing in front of a 10 million baht house, standing next to a Mercedes and dressed in expensive attire his TF inbox would be inundated with messages from girls. Thats a good give away all right .I am a member of a well known Pattaya Forum .Most of the mongers on there looking for P4P seem to use ''thaifriendly''

Right, it`s as I said; not looking for relationships. The Pattaya section of TF probably has more prostitutes advertising on there, but not so any in other regions of the country.

If you say dating sites don't work you haven't used them.   What do most 30 yr Falang in Thailand have to offer a 30 yr old Thai Woman?  A large portion of women's (under 35)dating profiles specify a range of men a couple years younger to 15 years older.  Maybe 5-10% of 25-30 yr olds specify over 55.  But there are plenty of college degreed, some can read and write English pretty well.  Some can speak English.

Although may seem obvious, the most important thing is just to talk normal. A few of my friends have previously shown me their accounts and what guys send them. Basically hundreds of young and old grandpa's offering them money for services. 

 

Maybe one of the reasons things like Tinder have become more popular now, can quickly swipe no and have no way of undesirable men contacting them. On the flip side, I have heard older guys complaining about Tinder being full of 'hookers'. Obviously due to the fact the girls have already swiped no due to past experiences. 

 

I think it's a good thing. Modern technology is giving Thai girls a lot more desirable options than they previously had.

I use Thaifriendly as a free member and I would say it works well.

 

It's not a "dating" site in the Western sense, it's a site which primary function is to exchange LINE IDs.

and on LINE, you then exchange a dozen of messages before making a date and meet.

 

used like this it works well.

 

most Thai women I know are not thrilled about reading and writing many long messages with men, many are just basement <deleted> that will never meet them.

If we are talking society/face (non-important stuff non quality girls like to show off), then there are two things younger Thai girls want more than money. A young handsome husband and good looking children to show off.

 

Many Facebook pages in Thai specifically dedicated to farang children and modelling agencies prey on them. Easy way to get famous/earn crap loads and actually sleep with someone they want to lol.

I know there are lots of numbers being thrown around here and I don't have numbers for this, but there is a large component of Thai women who do not speak English and -- if they somehow realize that you do speak reasonably conversant Thai -- will strike up a conversation with you just about anywhere, no online chat required.

OP, not sure what you mean by "Do you find women on there". Are you looking for hookers or casual sex, or looking for a date/girlfriend.

 

Thai girls dont usually do casual sex and if you are looking for hookers, go to a bar.

 

I have done lots of online dating and met lots of normal and genuine Thai girls for dating etc. School teachers, bank workers, business owners. Easy to filter out the hookers and Nigerian money scammers etc. 

 

Unless you are good at approaching girls in shopping malls and the bus/train etc, its not that easy to meet normal Thai girls.

Maybe 3 out of 4 in Pattaya are P4P.

Close to none out in the provinces.

If they use/show LINE ID/telephone publicly you can bet that they are P4P.

Often such entries are removed by forum admins or so as it spoils the paid member business.

A lot of single mothers on that site. I have met a few including one VERY nice  (no kids) woman that I still see to this day. Unfortunately the baggage of 2 -3 kids with an ex Thai partner puts most women on the blacklist.....as it should, if you value your wallet and sanity.
