Hi

 

a couple of days ago I credited my Skype account with $10.

I checked payment history and the payment is shown below as "DELIVERED" (I reloaded the page today so it hasn't been cancelled)

 

Trouble is it still only shows 22 cents credit on my Skype page and I havent had an email acknowledgement.

 

I would start thinking that I accidentally opened another account but only one of my regular two emails would ever be used and neither has mail from Skype......added to which it sent a code to my phone number so it must already know it.

 

What to do/check?

I turned off Skype on Macbook and iPad 

I turned on Skype on the macbook.

I called my own cellphone.

It rang and I answered and heard my voice on the macbook and hung up.

It didnt show 22c now.........it was 14c!!

I made a Skype online call to the Skype test call thingy.

Still 14 cents.

Turned off Skype on Macbook. Turned on Skype on iPad to check credit there.

14 cents

Log in and out.. Not just close app

Try this.  Open Skype.  Go to "My Accounts". It should take you to the online Skype website. It should log you in. Look in "Account" details make sure all is correct.  Then click on "Purchase History". If you do not see it there,  you need to contact them. You'll need to provide proof of payment.

I went to Skype web login.

Was concerned as it showed my hotmail address whereas I had just seen gmail address on other stuff.

Still did it.

Logged out to sign in again.

Happily Macbook filled in my password as not sure if i know it.

The page came up with MY contacts etc.

It seemed to be in a new format......maybe I'm behind the times.

It said..........YES........$10.

Question is why didn't it say $10.22?

 

Im wondering if Ive somehow got two accounts.

Never had a problem before.

Going to iPad now to open app.

 

OK....making progress.

When I went to Skype webpage login I changed it a bit and stuck my photo in the profile.

When I just went to iPad it showed 14 cents again and NO photo....

I'm thinking I've somehow got myself two accounts.

Thanks......check progress above.

If i sign out and in on either device it opens the account with the 14 cents.

BTW cant find My Accounts anywhere on my Skype but can find on web page. It shows my payment.

Have to get on with the day and look at this systematically later try and organise the accounts so I'm using one.

Otherwise I could try adding credit to the 14 cents again but that'd be $10 wasted.....enough for some nice cakes.

Do you know which email you used to open Skype originally? Since MSN bought Skype they have been trying to integrate Skype user/log in details with any Hotmail/Outlook accounts you may have. Sounds like you may have two accounts as you suggest.

Definitely sounds like you have two skype accounts, each registered to a different email account.

Yes to topt and Richcor it sure does.
I've not had time but will get down to it systematically ASAP......may be back to ask more questions from u experts :)
Got to do it soon I'm overdue for some calls

If your $10 credit is in in the wrong Skype account, it's easy to transfer it over to the correct one.
