Samui Prison cleaned after scabies outbreak

By The Nation

Samui Prison underwent a big clean on Monday after over 100 inmates contracted scabies.

Yingpinyo Moraphan, chief of the prison, said she sent the affected inmates to Samui Hospital.

She also ordered the prison’s living quarters to be cleaned and for the boiling of clothes, blankets, pillow cases and bed sheets.

She said the inmates with scabies were separated from the other inmates.
