To put the blame here on Abisith and Suthep alone while ignoring the leader of the blackshirts who were brought in to cause violence and attack the army making them respond.. that person is at least 50% guilty too. Then those blackshirts fired with the same weapons the army did.. bit hard to say the army was responsible for it all while the blackshirts had the same kind of weapons. The great benefactor! Is that hard to do when someone hands you billions of dollars worth of monopoly for free? Could it be that those stakeholders were the same people who gave him, and themselves, that billion dollar monopoly? In fact, could that mobile phone monopoly have been given to a government company, and then the people of Thailand would have been the stakeholders? Tarit, the man responsible for lodging the case was fired for having B100 million of assets acquired with no legitimate explanation, and later jailed for two years for demoting a subordinate who objected to his actions. And yet, we have some here would claim he is a paragon of virtue. So where does a corrupt copper get B100 million while performing as a Thaksin lickspittle? Indeed. Sydebolle
Maybe it is time to rewrite certain paragraphs in the law books of Thailand. It is ridiculous how grown-ups sue other grown-ups over face, face-saving, face-losing and if everything else goes wrong then they file a case about insulting the higher ups. You will not get this country into the 21st century if you keep behaving like a bunch of youngsters in the big nursery called ..... Thailand! While there is a tiny minority that control the armed forces and judiciary feel they have a god given right to govern Thailand and are prepared to use any means available to them to achieve it there will never be any real peace or reconciliation. In Thailand everything changes yet everything stays the same. I entirely agree with your views, I see it exactly likewise. It would also have been o.k. if Chitpas went to jail with Suthep, as she was a not much less instigator. But there we are back to money again..... OTOH at the moment they are doing a great job and no blatant instances of corruption are occurring AFAIK. If you know of any multi-billion baht thefts or blatant corruption as displayed by the Shinatras, let us all know and i am sure many of their supporters will call for their prosecution. OTOH, let's stick to the topic and the case brought by a bent copper to achieve his master's political goals. You may remember, this case was the basis of the claim Abhisit et al were murderers, during the last election.

"The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) is a department of the Ministry of Justice of Thailand. It operates independently of the Royal Thai Police and is tasked with the investigation of certain "special cases". These include complex criminal cases, those affecting national security, those involving organised criminal organisations and those potentially implicating high-ranking government officials or police officers. The DSI is often referred to as Thailand's counterpart to the United States' Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).[1] Since its inception, the DSI has seen conflicts with the police over jurisdiction and authority over cases, and department officials have publicly expressed concern that the department's work has been consistently subject to political interference." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Department_of_Special_Investigation Isn't the DIS chief appointed by the government or did I misunderstood it? sjaak327
Disgraceful display of propaganda and other nonsense, the army had no place there, and the people that put them there should certainly be held accountable. The usual suspects screaming bloody murder and demanding justice as long as the surname is Shinawatra,. are once again showing themselves to be utterly hypocritical, because no justice or accountability is needed when the other side is concerned. You know who you are, disgraceful and quite frankly beyond comprehension. I wonder if the likes of Halloween and co are not ashamed about so much nonsense and bias ? Probably not, speaks volumes about the persons concerned. They are not to be taken seriously. There is AMPLE and independent evidence, that the army way overstepped their boundaries, no need to rehearse government propaganda. Time to take action. It took them less then a few years to get Yingluck, yet the two idiots responsible for the murder of over 90 Thai citizens are yet to be held accountable. Everything for those on the side of 'The So Called Elite', which will obe day, hopefully soon, be the downfall of the country. The ordinary people will then be landed with the task of repairing all the damage these HISO have done while raping the country of its revenue to support themselves. The soober the better.
