Do you think a Ice tracking app should be available publicly…
jerrymahoney replied to riclag's topic in Political Soapbox
According to its website, ICEBlock deletes posts after four hours and limits users to reporting once every five minutes within their area to prevent spam. https://www.foxla.com/news/iceblock-app-ice-sightings So while there has been much talk to spam the app as above, a user of such info is really only going to be interested in info about his/her own vicinity and doesn't really care that there have been 20 ICE agent spottings in some Iowa cornfield. As far as overloading the system, I will just say as non-techie if the Apple servers can handle Instagram, ICEBlock should not be a problem. -
Sorry I missed this when you posted it. July 4th weekend and all... Thanks for keeping us so nicely entertained, both with your stories and the people who complain that they don't read them. Some people would kick even if they were hanged with a brand new rope! Keep up the good work, Lewie. It always makes for a fun read over breakfast!

Report Cannabis Chaos: 12,000 Thai Shops Face Closure Under New Rules
Jingthing replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I'm not knocking this but it seems probable it's going to be rather a farce. Check mark your medical condition (s) on a form. No actual medical consultation. Just a formality to register you into the system. Great. Pay the doc's fee and the medical cannabis user ID fee, then. 30 grams of weed a month for you! 30 grams of weed a month for you! 30 grams of weed a month to flippin' anyone who wants it! -
I can offer even more vivid details if necessary. I can also provide photos of the scene, for a small fee, of course.

Ignorance. If it was mandatory to vote in the USA he would have never been elected, he appealed to the lowest common denominator and they came out of the woodwork in droves while the silent majority couldn't be bothered.

You really shouldn't be. The change in the US with it's very large economy and military from a strong stabilizing pro democracy force to a force of flirting with authoritarian dictatorship, chaos, disruption, and voting with North Korea in a UN vote deserves global attention as the negative effects are indeed global. -

I am constantly amazed at how many non-US citizens make such vehement and often vicious posts about US politics. -
I've had Grab drivers tell me that Indian places are very busy at the moment and some cut off delivery ordering at all during peak hours. So another case where gross generalizations don't really work.

Funny isn't it? When a female gets caught smuggling drugs. It's always coercion??? I didn't know!! I was forced etc etc etc. -
Tariffs do not ban imports. But irrational tariffs like Trump's 50%-400% tariffs will discourage imports because the import country cannot sell the inflated priced products due to tariff charge addition and thus will not order imported products.
