  1. Yes the ones being discussed earlier based on the HH pic are considered as "small" breakfasts
  2. If you mean the QR code and not the bar code unfortunately the QR code on the PWA bill is just some numbers according to a scan app .... I tried last months bill which I paid easily but it will not do anything now. To pay the PWA bill before I have had to use the bar code not the QR code. I have no issues with the PEA bill it is only PWA.....
  3. Thanks for suggesting this but mine are not blocked.
  4. Thanks for that. At least I know it is just not me - and I agree about the extra payments at stores as well! Just tried your method and unfortunately got "Ünable to proceed. Cannot decode this barcode/QR code" Maybe my camera is no good........ How did you think to try that method?
  5. Is anybody else having issues trying to pay their PWA bill via the SCB mobile app? I have had no issues with scanning and paying the PEA bill but PWA is variable. Last month read the bar code and paid it first attempt. This month I have been trying for 4 days since the bill and either get a white box saying or simply cannot read this barcode/scan. 2 months ago had same issue and gf paid first time with her Kasikorn app. Have tried clearing cache. So is it just me or anybody else before I try calling SCB? Pattaya location if that makes any difference. PS - I know I can toddle off to 7 or wherever and pay thanks.
  6. Form their own party......
  7. Thanks for pulling that out. Interesting the yanks have a "technical explanation" on DTA wording. There may be an HMRC one but I could not locate it with that level of detail.
  8. Thanks - but still as clear as mud then.........
  9. I have been wanting to ask about this as you mentioned it in another thread. According to the DTA between Thailand and the UK first item of Article 7 - I note it only uses the word "may" be taxed. So if you have already been taxed in the UK and then you bring in and is taxed in Thailand what happens with regards to credits etc? Has this happened or do you just not bring in (up to now) in the year you earned it?
  10. Just happened to read this article - https://www.theregister.com/2023/11/06/youtube_ad_blockers_opinion/ and I remembered this thread. Gives an opinion which may or may not be interesting to some. The comments (mainly from people involved in the "tech" industry) can be interesting as well.
  11. You know what in situ means..... What was reported was that the he body could not be recovered from the dock.......it had to be dragged to another one. Or are you disputing that as well.......
  12. Is that supposed to be some sort of put down or funny........ If you actually read my comment is was more in surprise that company rules trumped the police in this instance. Some people have no idea.
  13. So some company's rules stop the police from recovering a dead body in situ..........
  14. As Interior Minister doesn't the RTP report to him or is that direct to the PM?
  15. Really...? https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/punitive I think (but could of course be wrong) that is exactly the meaning the poster intended.
  16. Except non governmental pensions (including the state pension) are specifically excluded according to HMRC from the UK/Thai DTA - so how does that work there.........
  17. So Fin should not be operating........... Treetown, rest of Soi Buakhoaw?
  18. I unfortunately would. If you are for example non resident for tax in UK but have income from "elsewhere" that isn't currently being taxed then........
  19. 7 items you select yourself is indeed 149. The small English, which is almost the same as the pic you showed for HH but minus the bubble and squeak and no refill is 99 baht.
  20. If you think that than the Witherspoons equivalent is only 99 baht - and I think available to 11. Cheap Charlie's used to be 89 baht but not been for quite a while.
  21. The headline reads like it is a done deal (which it may be) until you read the article....... and relevant parties - Language to leave room for a flip flop if necessary..........
  22. Yes and no. All depends on the final interpretation. If you haven't seen it knock yourself out with this thread to see a multitude of different takes..... https://aseannow.com/topic/1306896-thai-government-to-tax-all-income-from-abroad-for-tax-residents-starting-2024/
  23. The 180 days rule is not new. So theoretically anybody living here for more than 180 days should arguably be filing anyway............but of course most don't...... Regarding the potential change removing the loophole about previous years income you will not be filing specifically for that until 2025..........
