Much as I abhor this move from SCB I unfortunately have to agree with your comment above. I would also be very interested to see some proof on the statements made?
I think that you have to use it on mobile data initially and remember it is normally tied to the phone number you have registered with them.
Try putting the Thai sim in your UK phone - although as mentioned I think you may have to be in Thailand for the initial registration.
Hopefully you can prove me wrong.......
Yes I had a mate who got done outside a hotel in Hua Hin for that some years ago.
OK - so nothing to do with any posted, or otherwise, parking restrictions.
So was he parked on the left or right........
If it was signed as such and he was in the wrong then I am struggling to understand why he couldn't understand...........
Exactly what data is stored if you access your account via a web browser through a pc?
Passwords - only if you enable them
Cookies - what will they tell?
Genuinely interested as I cannot think of anything else?
The SCB mobile app asks you to screenshot every bill payment and if you agree stores that on your phone.......
My UK bank needs 2FA every time I log in online which should make it more secure than SCB who don't.
If you went to it via a browser then depending on browser so called "payment handlers" may be saved and come up automatically.......That's one possibility anyway.....
Well I am glad someone has posted as I hadn't seen it and I use Easy Net online all the time.
This also really pi**es me of as my phone is rooted and recently I have not been able to get around the app checks to allow me to pay the water and leccy bill..
Been thinking I need to get a cheap phone just for those but now it's a definite.
In Pattaya - really? It's a long and busy road but not sure I have ever noticed a barber/nail salon actually facing on to it let alone plenty.........
PS - I am sure there must be one somewhere probably up by the Ambassador or similar.
Happened to me here but I am still in the same house. I din't really have any of the feelings other than being hacked off. They caught the guy very quickly however so no idea if that made a difference.
Absolutely agree.
I used Axa specific travel insurance bought from AA Insure (but I think you can buy directly online) for a Thai national some years ago.

I think MSIG offer similar.
In Thailand? I think I am on my 4th electric kettle here in 12 years.......
Even in England I would have been hard pressed to expect 25 years from most home appliances although I do have a vacuum cleaner that's older than that.
Thanks. I called to make sure they had it and when it would be applied but they never offered to do it manually. I may ask them this time if it is still not applied in say 4 weeks.
Took them 14-16 weeks last year to apply my voluntary NICs payment to my account - this was a direct to their bank account transfer. Let's see how long it takes this year.......
Not sure what "normal" is post covid but several recentish articles about people/tax accountants/etc complaining about lead times with HMRC.
Extending the deadline for AVC's to 2025 as mentioned in the pinned pension thread is a at least a step forward in acknowledging that they have problems........
Perhaps there is some arbitrary word count used as normally those bits missing are only further to the end of the linked article. No idea - if I am bothered I just read the linked article but sometimes there is no more.
Good written one here from yesterday - for those of us who prefer to read rather than listen.....

Why would that have any affect on a bank's reasoning whether to keep a non res on the books? Capital Gains tax is nothing to do with them other than if paying HMRC it would probably get paid out of that account......
For most registered as non residents for tax there is no Capital Gains payable except on property (where details changed from 2015).
So I don't see how this can be in any way relevant.........
I queried this when he originally posted it and he said he was 73........which I would have thought was in the middle of a band?
I still need to contact AA and ask them for a current spreadsheet on insurers and costs to check........it's on my to do list
Not doubting you but this surprised me. If the money was held in a FCA in Euros why could they not just send it straight out in Euros?
Made me check Bangkok Bank as their online info is better than most banks -
https://www.bangkokbank.com/en/Personal/Save-And-Invest/Save/FCD-Account-for-Non-residents
Still going to be around the cost you mentioned in baht equivalent as .5% charge for Euro
