looking for home router with mobile data failover connectivity
topt replied to gamb00ler's topic in IT and Computers
I have been experiencing this only fairly recently and not noticed more than 2 in one day and seemingly not every day but had been wondering at the cause. Thanks I used to get this but not seen it happen since I changed my DNS settings on the pc and router to Quad 9 and Cloudflare -
Thanks that is what I am currently using -

Internet banking change.

That doesn't seem to make sense as Android 11 did not ship until 2020 earliest? I stress I have not read the report in detail. However none of it surprises me as I ended up rooting my Xiaomi Redmi in 2020 after only 3 months due to the amount of <deleted> on it and the traffic that I could not stop. -
Only that it had seemingly a few more variables to change then others for cleaning that I have tried plus the xml settings GUI was nice and easy. Probably very little difference to most and was one of the first I tried. Now using EZ. Tried Open Wizard but had some issues but may give that another go. Read a lot of positive stuff online about Fusion TVaddons but seems to not be available any more along with Ares Wizard. I envy you the dedication with that many builds. I haven't changed the stuff on my Android box for a while as the gf monopolises the TV............ Cheers

Well thanks for confirming that the SafeKodi add-on does not seem to work on 19 plus....I also tried it from directly downloading the zip but same issue. By the way it took me a couple of attempts to install The Crew last weekend but as mentioned it is working - just started it up on a series I was watching and cross fingers no issue. I also use Homelander (more than The Crew) from the same repo and that has been working fine. Crew Wizard same as you but did you see the warnings as per the OP as that was what I got when I tried to install from the Crew repo from Defender - but the notification was fleeting.? I also have The Promise and my set up is similar to you but using Kodi 19.4 Thanks for taking the time to test it.

The Crew add on works (worked as I am back on 19.?) but I added the Crew Wizard from the same repository for maintenance only and even in 19 that fails with Defender removing something. Was hoping you had tried Safekodi so I could ascertain if a problem only with my install or a wider problem.

Agree 100% if you have a good rec and the cost is reasonable. Pretty much my experience and the "deal" was brokered by who we wee purchasing from as she had prior experience in dealing with them.
-
Yes that's who I dealt with as well. I did ask on an earlier thread where they were mentioned as seems it is now owned by another foreigner.
-
Yes now getting it from The Crew Wizard. Only found out as have had major issues and deleted and reinstalled my complete Kodi install on the laptop several times in the last week and just tried to reload that specific add on. That would be very useful to use but I am wondering if you have it working on 19 or 20 by any chance? I cannot get it to install as says the dependency on XBMC.Python 2.14.0 could not be satisfied.......... Have emailed them but no reply yet.

Whatever works for you but seems like overkill to me considering how small and discrete these boxes are.

I have this. It did seem to overheat when I first got it but having read something online I just turned it upside down (all the ventilation holes are on the normal underside of the device )and no problems since There are various iterations of the specific firmware however depending on when it was produced.

Necessary service items or just nice to do?
topt replied to topt's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Sorry but what are you referring to as the "rack repair kit" as I don't see that in that name on the quote? -
Yes important , especially if new client, to ask for Dr Warin, the man, as I understand his wife also used to practice there and reports were not as enthusiastic..........

and it is a Usufruct

Ok I can accept that but I noticed the big cost (relatively) on there is 4.5k for "rack steering gear" which I think is the middle bit on one of the diagram's in the article you linked to. Normal to replace at the same time or impossible to say without seeing the actual part? -

If you are looking to add this to a chanote at Pattaya Land Office you may want to check that they will still do this. My understanding was that they refused to offer them from about 7 years ago although this could have changed more recently. The lawyer should be able to tell you.......... Even though not based in Pattaya I used Issan Law for this 11 years ago and they were mentioned very recently in a thread on here. They sent a junior lawyer down to sort it out on the day of transfer but I still needed to grease the wheels.......

Triton truck, nearly 11 years old, regular 10k oil change/check at main dealer who I have been happy with last 4/5 years after changing from another closer one. Service last week and no issues but I was presented with what I thought initially was an extra bill but appears to be recommended service items for the next service. Communication was very unclear (different staff to my last visit) and the English translation of the items was sent to me after my visit. Apparently they did not have the parts in stock anyway...... Any views on how important or not having the mentioned items "changed"? Mileage shown on estimate 150k so next service would be 160k or thereabouts. I was also sent some pictures presumable relating to the items to change........

Considering the proliferation and use of QR codes here I wonder how long before we start reading stories about this here - https://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/beatthescammers/article-11712823/Never-heard-QR-jacking-cynical-new-ruse-steal-cash.html I wasn't sure where to post this - banking/mobile or..... so settled for general. Although the original article is about the UK it points to a potential issue here.

Maybe something new here. Just a bit more fuel for the fire......... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/columnists/article-11714171/10-awkward-questions-throw-EU-Rejoiner-corners-dinner-party.html -
Well received one 15 minutes ago. So has the newsletter moved to once a day only?
-
Thursday received the early one but not the normal second one. Friday none at all one arrived mid afternoon but none in the morning and none so far today. Just me or is it a general issue?
