Jack Smith's January 6 Filing is Published
bendejo replied to Danderman123's topic in Political Soapbox
It is morning in America, wake up and be re-introduced to DT's special prosecutor. DT told Pence, in disgust, "You're too honest." It was a tacit admission of his own dishonesty. https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-features/trump-pence-too-honest-jan-6-scheme-1234799181/ Hey, I thought DT was supposed to be incredibly smart -- he has a relative who works at MIT after all -
According to JD and DT they work hard at coming up with these cockamamie things to attract media attention, and those that work in the media should show some respect for their efforts. It doesn't matter if it's true, and who is anyone to say that it must be? Media fact-checking be damned! During the 2012 campaign Mitt said (of the GOP) "we need our own fact checkers," and 4 years later good ol' Kellyanne got the George Orwell award for coming up with the concept of "alternative facts." JD is now in the pantheon of innovative prevaricators. If someone has the thinking facilities to comprehend what is behind what these blackguards are putting out they are probably not MAGA voters. https://www.thedailybeast.com/cnns-dana-bash-shuts-down-jd-vances-migrant-pets-claim-in-blistering-fact-check I get a chuckle out JD's fondness for saying Kamala Harris’ policies. He certainly said it often enough in yesterday's VP debate. Does he have any idea what the job of the VP is?

Thailand welcomes Google's US$1 billion investment in data center
bendejo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
When you're pumping a billion dollars into a country there is much less chance they will be banning you. Well, until the final check clears. Musk did similar to get Brazil to see things his way just a few days ago. Microsoft handled US gov't quite well: make enough US$500k donations to senators and congressional reps and, gosh darn it, you got yourself a lot of support! -
Trump's Pre-Election Strategy: Preparing to Challenge the 2024 Results
bendejo replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I guess it shows that he's not much of a man. In the TV series Veep, the press sec lost his campaign diary, and when asked what info was in it, he explained that they were telling so many lies that he had to write down the truth to remember what it was. For a real-life incident, a week or two ago Nikki Haley posed a public question to Vance regarding all the idiocy he's been spouting: "do you want to lose?" Another thing about strategy: it used to be that candidates wanted people to vote for them, they wanted to be liked just long enough for a person to pull the lever for them. But now, well, it's hard to express, so I'll give an example: Kari Lake, a MAGA hopeful who keeps loosing elections (because they are all stolen, of course) addressed a rally a few days prior to one of the elections and said "If you were a John McCain supporter GET OUT, I don't want you!" I don't get it, you want people to vote for you or are you recruiting for a cult? Same thing with DT, how is this tactic of insulting and threatening groups of people supposed to get him elected? (*note: McCain was a US senator from her state, who ran against Obama in 2008) But yes, Harris winning the vote is only half the task, the second is getting it past a corrupt Supreme Court, their decision will be dictated by the money men (Crow, and the other people we never hear of) . I suspect it'll be more of a replay of the 2000 debacle. -
Trump’s First Day Back: Key Priorities for a Second Term
bendejo replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Yeah, like dropping a nuclear bomb on a hurricane. Is that the kind of judgement that people look for in a leader? -
Once in Pattaya I heard this relatively young fellow running around shirtless, his entire torso was tattooed with the ink extending up his neck and covering his shaved cranium. He was talking in a loud voice telling another chap how stupid everybody is. A lot like DT delivering his babble.

Bret Baier: Trump, not Harris, the ‘holdup’ on Fox News debate.
bendejo replied to Inderpland's topic in Political Soapbox
Aw, come on, everybody knows who Marx was and what he stood for. The quote in the pic could actually be Vance's guiding influence. "I refuse to join any club that would have me as a member." - Groucho Marx -

Why not reveal your own home country, and then you can experience moronic comments about it from people all over the world. -
Trump slams Fox News for airing Harris border visit
bendejo replied to Inderpland's topic in Political Soapbox
Is he really too stupid to know how to change the channel? Wait until he does learn how to and he finds MSNBC laughing at him. https://www.thedailybeast.com/msnbc-panel-cracks-up-at-trumps-debate-ducking-excuses- 1 reply

What's wrong with wearing a Timex? Are we talking about weird again? How about burying your ex-wife on your golf course? Not just weird, it's certifiable -- that's Addams Family stuff, but without the humor. Maybe if Mel outlasts him she'll bury him next to a sewer.

US$50k or $100k. Sounds like a laundry service for campaign contributions. I hope I live long enough to see all this catch up to him. "And how many dozen can I put you down for, Elon?" And of course the things don't even exist, except in concept. 🤣

Trump appeal against ridiculous fine looks like a winner
bendejo replied to theblether's topic in Political Soapbox
I agree, they will probably roll it back to the initial fine, but I think they should make a provision that the next time he denounces her again $5 million gets added at each update. Each of these appeals costs him plenty even without the fine. Maybe during breaks in the court proceeding he can hawk watches in Foley Square (the location of the courthouse) to try to raise cash for the attorneys. Or if a Black person comes along he can try to sell them the sneakers. -
psssttt, wanna buy a watch? He's sunk to a NYC sidewalk hawker. For someone who doesn't need anybody else's money he sure is eager to take other people's money "Have you no shame, sir?" Actually, I think those NFTs of him are even lower. Maybe his next step downward will be be an adult web site featuring his current wife in various phases of undress and, umm, frolicking. Maybe that book of her that recently came out is just the start.

Bret Baier: Trump, not Harris, the ‘holdup’ on Fox News debate.

Sounds like bro Bret is trying to push DT to close the deal, with himself as the mod. The openly deceitful sort, lets see how far he gets. -
Ellen DeGeneres, a shameless return to standup that's unfunny
bendejo replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I used to see her on a TV show "At the Improv" in the 1980s that had people trying to make it as comics. I guessed she was gay. Why? She was the only one who did not do any jokes regarding sex. -
Chinese man calls Thai women prostitutes sparking online outrage
bendejo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
So this guy tells the world Thai women are prostitutes, and these two girls respond with a pic of themselves, so, when someone comes along and reads the thread about Thai prostitutes and gets to see what such women look like. Oh, these women are NOT hookers? Oh, ok. But why did they post their picture, and is a barfine involved?
