  3. Just for the sake of argument, this is a "movement" in America that offers opposing views and opinions backed by science. The TRUTH about COVID, Mask Mandates, Government Shutdowns, etc (timetofreeamerica.com) Makes 1 wonder just how much information released by "Government" is panic, reaction, money, power and truth. No, I'm not a learned scientist nor am I a conspiracy theorist. I'm just another guy whose life was upended by the apparent release of a virus from China that caused the world to freak out. Nothing in the article says why or how buying and using this test will return some semblance of normalcy to my life. Seems to me that the only way "testing" would be 100% effective is if there were testing/screening devices created and installed at the entrance and exit of absolutely everything. Testing 3 days before a flight, for example, does preclude same said person from contracting and carrying the virus home from the store they stop at on the way home from the test. *Sigh*
  4. Was looking for informed opinions on where to go for a good (reliable) and reasonably priced spinal exam. I broke my back in '91 and knew that at some point in the future I may need surgery. Lately that elephant in the room has been sitting on my lower back and it's probably time to see someone for an exam with x-rays and a reliable opinion on how to correct it. I did a search on hospitals in Bangkok and they list the top 10 with only 2 quoting a price of between 250,000-350,000 THB if surgery was an absolute necessity while the others opted for the come and see reply. Average for the consultation was between 1,000-2,000 THB but I'm pretty sure that won't include the x-rays. I'm not concerned about paying the consultation and x-ray fees but I am about paying for the surgery as I don't have coverage for it. I'm 62 if that matters. In '91 the injury was to the L4, L5 and L6. 1 crushed disc, 1 bulging. They also discovered a bone spur I've apparently had since birth and it may very well be just that causing the issues with pain at the pelvic girdle and right leg. Any places to recommend or steer clear of would be helpful. Thank you.
  5. I was under the impression that these were "covid extensions" and only for the people that were "trapped" because there were no border runs available. I've been here 21 yrs on Non-O married extensions and it has never been an issue to renew as usual. All the teachers I worked with up until the end of Mar. that were/are here on Non-B extensions have also just renewed as usual. Might check with UbonJoe and see if this is a CW specific issue.
  6. IF you have a valid WP AND you apply for an extension of your Non-B (before it expires) then you are fine (Non-Bs are granted or denied on the spot) BUT don't be surprised if your Non-B extension is matched to your WP extension so that they expire together as they should. Bear in mind that just because that's the way the rules are written doesn't mean much. I have personally had WPs and extensions with expiration dates that were weeks or months apart.
