  1. Sadly it's not that easy, that's a single 3.2V cell, it needs 3 friends and some electronics. I'll have a hunt for something usable inbetween meetings.
  2. Yeah, I think you are correct, that unit is physically large (judging by the outlets on the back) for a 500W unit, bet it's mostly air inside. I wouldn't replace the UPS batteries with LiFePO4 (actually I do but ...) and adding a battery to the power supply box you show, whilst not exactly complex, does require a little electrical nouse (need to add a diode). Just how much autonomy do you actually need for your cameras? It would also be useful to know just how much power the system is really using but during the day and at night (when any IR illuminators will be on).
  3. The UPS probably has 2 x 12V 7.5Ah sealed lead-acid batteries. If we assume worst case on the cameras and XVR we are looking at 10A @ 12V. So you're probably good for 1 to 1.5 hours, the cameras likely take a lot less than the 1A particularly if they have night vision LEDs. BUT. Why bother with a UPS? There's nothing to stop you floating a 12V deep-cycle or LiFePO4 pattery on the 12V supply (you would have to tweek the power supply up to around 13.8V). You can then choose the battery to match just how long you want to run for.
  4. Yes, I've done it. So long as you return before the "collect" day you are OK. Even if you already have a re-entry permit you need a new one to cover your under-consideration period. Make sure that the entry officer understands that you want to use the re-entry even though it's very short. Mine actually asked if I really wanted to be stamped in for 1 day, I told him I had to visit immigration to get a stamp, he happily stamped for 1 day.
  5. I've noticed that several of my usual destinations have removed the temperature scanners and Thaichana QR codes. Others have not. Last week my Thaichana app decided that I wasn't registered, no idea why. Attempting to re-register got a "cannot at this time, please try later". Trying "later" achieved nothing. A re-install of the app now just gives me "no internet connection". So I've given up.
  6. To reset these beasties, press the blue button back in, then just turn on the main. If it trips again, switch off all your other breakers and try again. Assuming it stays on then turn on the breakers one at a time until it trips, you then need to investigate that circuit.
  7. Good stuff above ^^^ For a non-Samsung phone try here https://www.androidcentral.com/how-transfer-data-your-old-android-phone-your-new-phone
  8. We used the RS Trade Counter in Hong Kong regularly to support our installation work on the Lantau and Airport Railway, they were convenient and had stuff in-stock (we also had an account so no messing around with cash and expenses claims). The lady behind the counter ("Mavis" IIRC) was also rather cute and was taken to dinner several times by at least one of the crew ????
  9. Yes, although mine were stopped by the two-factor authentication. Lot's of middle of the night SMS's asking for authentication, followed by a similar number from Citi Thailand asking for me to call Fraud Prevention (the phone sleeps on the lounge table, I don't answer at night). Oddly enough one transaction actually got through, no idea how, Citi cancelled it no problem although I did have to wait for the $40 someone had spent in the US. New card in the post job done.
  10. I remember it being called "Radio Spares", I think they sold cat's whiskers Re-brand was in 1971 ????
  11. An Aussie mate pronounced that as mo-ree-cam-bee, confused the flip out of me. He was discussing the recent (at the time) death of 23 Chinese immigrants cockle-picking on Morecambe Sands when they got caught out by the tide.
  12. If I really needed a switch in a DIN box I'd probably just use an MCB. Most are rated for several thousand switching operations.
  13. Top floor of Fortune Town (Pha Ram 9 MRT station) certainly sell the cells but I don't recall seeing the welding kit, best bet is to ask. If they don't do there they should know which branches do.
  14. Welcome, I did say all that in my very first post on this thread ????
  15. If there is no neutral grounding at the poles don't route the N via the ground bar.
  16. And at this point as our OP has his answer.
  17. Have you checked if your incoming neutral is grounded at the poles (every 3rd pole or so) for Multiple Earthed Neutral (MEN)? The idea of TNC-S (with or without MEN) is that it provides a metallic (low resistance) path back to the transformer star point that will trip the over-current protection without anything going through you. Adding MEN means that the hazard from a failed TNC-S neutral is reduced. There is nothing wrong with going TT like you have now but you are relying on the RCBO earth leakage protection rather than the infinitely reliable (read simple) over current protection.
  18. As my earlier post :- Check the supply poles. If the heutral (the tope wire if the 2 or 4 on small insulators) has a ground connection every 3rd or 4th pole then the area is wired as MEN (Multiple Earthed Neutral) and a N-E connection will add another layer of safety. If you get a L-E fault when N-E are linked the breaker will still go out as one side of the supply still goes through. A L-E fault on the incoming L is bad news whichever way you cut it ????
  19. Since you rent can we assume the account is in the landlord's name?? If so you will need his help and agreement.
  20. I actually had to do this today. Chrome on W11, click the "send" button, got the code in Gmail, filled in the box and hit verify. 30 seconds at most, annoying but it just worked.
  21. Only between 2 and 5 when the pub was closed.
