Is a Wife Who Does Not Work a Bad Thing?
No...I never wanted my wife to work. We lived five years in the UK from 2002. I ceased work completely in 2004 and we travelled, played golf, did the Gym, pottered around the house and garden. etc etc Now been here full time since 2007....never been back... now we are 80 and 71. Do same but less of........... So pleased that we could spend as much time together as we wanted. She goes to meet her old friends, also has a daughter and two grandchildren ...I go with her more often than not. Life is good, hope health allows it to stay that way for some while yet............

Short term parking and…
Thanks ...we are picking them up ... we have about a forty minute journey (Sunday Evening) from our house to the airport. Thought when we 'see' the plane near the airport we would set off and that would be OK if they are not using Fast Track. TDAC...i guess that they know about it but will check ...tks

Short term parking and…
It’s several years since we picked anyone up at the airport. So friends are due to land at 6:05 pm on a Sunday evening. Was wondering what time should we get to the airport and which short term car park to use. Arrivals are 2nd floor I read, is there a designated meeting point after they exit from customs …thanks for any info

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
I have test driven the standard 7X and the AWD. For me the ride is greatly improved with the air suspension and of course it’s much quicker. The seats are really nice, far superior to the Sealion 7 seats. The ride in the rear seats is much improved in the AWD. The road noise is still higher than I would like, even more than our 2019 E Class and that’s not exactly quite. I will look again when the Updated model comes here.

Buying ten drinks?
Ah, so being married may not be as expensive as I think it is. I’m just trying to work out the value of two short times and one long time most days for twenty plus years …lol

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Then I will make an effort to go to the show …it’s only a few kms from where we live. Definitely all the AWD quota has gone and unlike Australia the green was not favored. I like the green with white interior. i have joined the FB Group. ZEEKR 7X Australia -Group. Worth a read, But the seller told me that what Australia gets is a little different to Thailand…I didn’t ask for details.

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Had a demo in the ZEEKR 7X earlier today, only the LR model, FWD one at the Motor Show so will try that one on the 14th. Front seats nice, ride in front not as good as I expected and in the rear … personally I wouldn’t want to go a long way sitting in the back … I had it set to comfort, light steering and none sport mode. Probably slightly quicker than our six and a half year old E350e, and when I got back into it felt just better! Maybe the sir suspension one will be better. Car warranty is only five years with eight years on the battery. First inspection 40k kms or two years.

Cold spell in Thailand, what's your REAL temp now?
Yeah, I have that sort of feeling. My Wife says when we lived in the UK and in the winter you had the bedroom windows open. At the moment we are in a hotel in Si Racha, she has the Aircon set to 22C and I’m absolutely freezing…..

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
So in the end drove the SO7, was ok good all round view, seats okay but didn’t have any quality feel. Also tested the EO7 …nice inside and felt quality, I thought the ride a little firm even on the softest setting. BUT the view from the rear mirror, for me, was just not acceptable. It’s split and only the bottom half was clear. My wife said she didn’t have a problem … guess this shows that my eyes are not exactly good …. So going to hang on a year and save up. Seems there are several, a little upmarket EVs coming …eg Atto 8. Let’s see what EXPO 2026 brings.

True for us, although useful for passing on occasions … 3.2secs 0-100 kph must feel quite exciting though …

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Went to look earlier today. It’s quite a big car and looks solid. The seats are firm as are most new cars now. Our W221 S has nice soft seats but it’s a bit of a black hole where money is concerned … the SO5 seats feel soft. Might test drive the sealion 7 when we get back home. Anyway SO5 test drive tomorrow.

Electric Vehicles in Thailand
Thanks for that PiB …our 3.2 Everest 0-100 km time is about 11sec …the E350e just over 6 secs and I believe the sO5 is just a little slower …plenty fast enough for me. I looking for comfortable seats, soft ride and plenty of air bags, that is my prority…

Only if you use Merc spares. My friend owns 50% of CT14 Supercar Service Center and changed the fronts for me on the S ….not very expensive at all. Merc changed the rears on the E350e all under the 8 year warranty.

That S560e is a nice car, we have an older S and a E350e. When we bought that we paid about 250k to extend manufactures warranty to a total of 8 years. That is not a bad deal and allows me to sleep peacefully at night.LOL
