From my experience if you are getting aged and have health problems then there are times that the heat and humidity will affect you. I’ve been her full for around seventeen years … the heat never used to bother me and I didn’t sweat much … used to even sit out in the sun. However since are now a lot older and heart is not that good anymore I sweat a lot and it’s quite uncomfortable at times … my shirt sticking to me affects my golf swing … well that’s my excuse … ps … I’m not fat but I can appreciate that those of you who are may suffer more.

Travel Planning with Dan About Thailand’s Free App
JAS21 replied to CharlieH's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
The Marketing Guru … good stuff Dan. I would have liked to see more people give their views on the September topic that was closed. But only a few days left now so … Maybe someone will do similar for October as MrsJ and myself always like a couple of weeks away from BK just before the so called High Season is upon us. -
Take here somewhere nice to stay every other weekend … there must be lots of offers available. And take her to see her friends sometimes

Wind is not the problem there … but another element can be ….

Mrs J and myself went to play there today. There is water on every hole but … the fairways were in really good condition … the greens somewhat difficult and fast. I found the Garmin Golf app quite useful … both our caddies were very helpful and mine could speak some English. Going back there next week to play in a comp so have booked them. Monday to Friday all in 1300Baht before 9am. Wednesday is sports day 1300Baht all day… it’s a very good price. Clubhouse food … I had the yellow curry … good but at 300Baht a little on the expensive side I though. Definitely worth a visit and as we played early (6:30 am) … it was quite and we were first out.

We have had joint bank accounts for at least 22 years. I do keep a sole account for Immigration purpose and she has an account which gets better interest than I can and also a couple of bonds. We do discuss any big purchases but for anything else who cares … Lawyer wrote our wills as if you are not careful you can have problems when one of you die. But joint accounts help.

You could try UOB … it’s a couple of years ago now that I got mine from Citi Bank . I’m retired, no work permit and I didn’t even bank with them. It is unsecured with a limit of 160k thb. I wanted to go above that short term to pay a large bill ( ie get points) and no problem…with Citi I did have to pay the full amount off each month but it doesn’t look like that with UOB. I ditched my Bangkok Bank one as I had to let them lock away the amount that I could spend on the card. I don’t have anything special other than a Yellow Book

How to remove bitumen / tar from car?
JAS21 replied to scorecard's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Good one Steven … -
Yes …carcamkorea are very good. Bought the BlackVue dual channel from them in 2019 and haven’t had any problems with it. Earlier this year for another car I bought a FineVu also from them …it’s a little bit cheaper but does tell you about speed cameras, and it is also front and rear. Whatever you buy I would get one that records your speed as all car cams in playback mode make it look like you are driving quite fast.

Premiership football coverage on home computer season 2024/ 25 season

It's on now until the end of September. But I don't think Banyan (Pineapple Valley) or Seapine are included. We played both of those courses last weekend with a group from the golf club where we are members. The greens at Pineapple Valley were really good as were the fairways. Its a nice course but I honestly don't understand why people rate it so high. Seapine was probably more interesting, but the greens were not in a good state at all, and the rough ...hell ...hard to dig the ball out. And towards the end of the day the wind really got up. TBH I wouldn't make much effort to play either again but YMMV.

Reading all the comments seems to me that everything has been covered. There is really only one way that you will know, so go for it. If you don’t like the new configuration then change it back. We have low profile 19” tyres on our car, the ride is hard. I know many have changed to 17” or 18” with a huge improvement. I changed from RFTs to conventional Pilot Sport4 and quite an improvement. I wanted Primacy but they were not available in the size I wanted unfortunately.

Shocking surge: Thai electricity tariffs set to spark debate

Yes … so do many of us, but you have to feel for the poor and there a lot more of those than there are rich. -
SUV suitable for long distance Highway travel?
JAS21 replied to CanNot's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
My wife bought a Mazda Lantis new in 1997. I think basically forerunner of the 3. We only sold it last year. I found the design of the seat ..sort of sport like…not at all good for long journeys.I had the suspension changed a couple of times, but the ride was just too firm. The Everest was a better ride, but of course somewhat newer. -
SUV suitable for long distance Highway travel?
JAS21 replied to CanNot's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
Have a 3.2L Ford Everest. The ride is probably as good as any body on frame SUV in fact probably the softest. My back is not too good but driving long distance I find it hurting less at the end compared to our car. Have done BK to CM several times in it.Usually stop 2-3 times for coffee/pee/and a little leg stretch. -
Now this motor was more than fun ...it was exciting...and when MrsJ was driving it was frighteningly exciting .....in its day it really was a monster.....

So my will was written in 2007 whilst my wife and I still lived in the UK. I want to delete one clause and as the will is quite old thought that I would write a new one ..same wording as before ...but without the clause that I want to delete. I see that it contains the phrase ... I GIVE all my property both movable and immovable whatsoever and wheresoever situated (except etc ........As I have a Will of Thailand was wondering if that will overrule the wheresoever situated or should I put a full stop after whatsoever and delete the next three words. Am aware that its always best consult a lawyer but I believe that there are several on this forum so maybe one could comment ...

I don’t think that I need any favours from Trans. Well maybe a little advice now and again computer wise now that crossy is not my friend … he blamed another friend of mine for the level 7 attack or whatever it was that shut AN down for a week some while back… it wasn’t him but never mind… so he said he doesn’t want to be my friend anymore ….. So it seems that some of you Pattaya guys are monied … how fortunate you are. MrsJ and myself have to get by on my pension and a little bit of investment in the UK. We do try to play golf three times a week and get away every 2-3 weeks….never to Pattaya though…Our house is not as big as the one Trans has, but it’s okay and we also have to get by with just an old SUV, E-Class and S-Class, so not rich like many of you guys seem to be…… I don’t normally comment on this type of post,or even read them. But when I saw how childish, silly and even nasty some of your comments are I made an exception. And I have to say, and choose my words carefully, since Darren bought AN do we really need to let topics that have degenerated as this one has continue…… Enjoy you day guys …………

When I did my Annual Extension a couple of months ago now ...Nonthaburi asked for a new TM30 and I haven't reentered Thailand since 2014. Seems that maybe they are updating.
