We live in a village in Isaan. My son speaks fluent English because I've only ever spoken English to him since his birth. At school he teaches his class English instead of the teacher, the teacher became embarrassed teaching after acknowledging my son's proficiency, I met him once, he introduced himself as "I am a teacher" I thought he said "I am a T=shirt". All my son's online friends have been arranged into a group chat which can get noisy at times, I once asked him why he can't just watch porn like any other 17 year old, he looked at me disapprovingly and moved his microphone closer, I'm a bad papa.

My 17 year old son has an impressive array of technical accessories attached to his computer and when not at school spends all his time in his room speaking English with a group of international friends met on gaming sites from Finland to Singapore, I often hear him speaking with them at 2 AM, I've told him to get more sleep because of school but since he is a straight A student I've run out of arguments. As his mother said, better like this than having him going around with juveniles on their bikes, drinking and causing misshieve.
