Insufficient enforcement of traffic laws? Is this news? Just recently I made a five hour road trip and did not see one police patrol vehicle, but many traffic law violators. Nothing will change until the police get a grip of enforcing the existing laws. Without enforcement, laws are useless. But, TIT. Mai ben rai.

When this was announced I had the same feelings when Joe Louis, my idol, went into professional wrestling. Very sad. I was sad to see a man who was a master of his sport reduced to acting and becoming a spectacle. But in those days no doubt, Joe needed the money. But maybe boxers are like some politicians. Couldn't swim!? I made a point of teaching my Thai nephews and nieces to swim at an early age. A Degree in anything is useless if you are in deep water and can't swim.

I lost my first wife to cancer in 1982. My present Thai wife of thirty-seven years has recovered remarkably well from breast cancer and the treatment she received from Thai government hospitals. She is now leading a normal everyday life. I have great respect for the medical profession here in Thailand and it seems the treatment for cancer has improved remarkably. My wife didn't suffer the side effects from the treatment my first wife suffered from. For that, I am most grateful. Good health and long life.👍
