No doubt about the fact that the UK benefit / welfare systems are being milked by fraudulent claims and low detection rates from the government bodies . Many claims from so called personal stress . Many long term claimants who can be seen often in supermarkets buying lots of unhealthy food / snacks and alcohol . In the car park they are often seen smoking and also have a non economical car . I quote from my knowing those concerned who boast about their knowledge of the benefits system . Many migrants are taught how to claim by their associates . I agree that both Labour and Tories have not sorted it out . 14.5 % of the UK population are claiming some form of benefit . The manner in which this Labour government is performing can only lead to a financial crisis . Starmer and his cabinet have no control of their party . Something has to give soon .

Forgot to mention that my wife and I are named drivers on the policy with my wife named as the car owner . I am 78 years old and not a problem getting insurance with Roojai .

I had other car insurance quotes and Roojai were nearly half the price of another Thai insurer for the same cover. Had a couple of not my fault minor accidents and Roojai settled the claim quickly .

The NHS being in dire straits because of the lack of doctors has been said to be recruiting foreign medical staff with lower qualifications . There have also been cases where the so called immigrant doctors have used fake qualifications . The UK is experiencing a brain drain , right now , with the repercussions just beginning . I had a similar experience . I was in the UK and wife bought a new car in Thailand with 60% tint . When I came back to Thailand the first time I drove the car was at night and I thought that the lights were faulty so I took the car back to the dealer and complained about the lights but they were not faulty , it was the xxxxxxx stupid tint . A car sales lady had persuaded my wife to have the darker tint as it made the car cooler , WTFK . I had it removed cos it was asking for an accident because of much reduced vision. The UK law say 75% light through the windscreen and 70% light on the front side windows . However most new cars already have a 30% tinted glass windscreen and adding a tint would make your UK insurance void and that has happened a few times in the UK . Is there a correlation with tinted windows and the high amount of road accidents in Thailand ?

It's my belief that the kitchen will be in a similar state of the toilets . So spotless toilets , for me that means a clean , hygienic kitchen . I have seen and used some filthy Thai bars & restaurants toilets and would not order a meal . I don't know if Thai restaurants are subject to unannounced government hygiene inspections as most of the Western world has but I doubt it .

I guess I have learnt my lesson and that is to be aware of these Thai bank holidays that can and do delay transfers . Normally Wise are fast at transfers with the odd exception .

OK , I get the bank holidays causing delays but I tried to send money early morning on Saturday May 31 and Wise said your money will arrive on Wednesday 4th June . I have sent money on a Saturday before but normally on a Friday . But even on a Saturday my money had taken seconds only to arrive on previous occasions, I think . I was short of cash and had no alternative other than use the ATM with my UK debit card and incur all the bank charges . I use Bangkok Bank purely as a convenience to hold my transferred money that enables me to withdraw from their ATM but to avoid this dilemma again I will keep a reasonable amount of money in my Bangkok savings account .

My main concern is that , even if Starmer is pushed or jumps , his replacement will stick to the Labour government policies which are killing the UK . The demise of girly bars throughout Thailand has been caused by the incessant need by the bar girls to use their mobile phones . Never had that years ago . Only seem really interested in capturing customers to drink in their bar and to get bought a lady drink at high prices . Also far to many lady boys .

I transferred 240 pounds last Friday early am and Wise said will take 8 hours to complete but it did not come in that time . The next day on Saturday am I still did not have it , so I used their tracker and guess what ? it arrived within 5 minutes . I have been using Wise for 10 years or more and always praised their service but over the last couple of months they have slowed down and not so reliable . I am considering using another company . Any recommendations? Anyone use XE.com ?

Bertoli source their olive oil from various farms and then blend it . A decent EVOO will have the harvest date and if from Europe a sell by date . There are some companies that use a " Block Chain " , which is a complete tractability of the product . Thailand's most popular venues for visitors are Bangkok , Pattaya , Phuket . The common denominator is that they all have lively nightlife's and support a lot of prostitution which is the main reason for Thailand tourism . Second would be the beaches and weather . Third may be the temples but for me , you see one and that is enough . Four , maybe Thai cuisine . IMHO ,agree ? . Finally it is the high cost of long haul flights that is an off putting . BTW , I know of a few lads who will not travel to Thailand because of being ripped off / two tier pricing / heavy fines for vaping . Thailand is facing competition from Viet Nam which by many opinions is a much more beautiful country and a much better visa system .

When will the T.A.T. understand that the majority of Chinese tourists come to Thailand on escorted all inclusive deals which means that only a small amounts of money is spread to small businesses . Mostly window shopping and the same goes for the majority of Indian tourists . For many Western world tourists it is the high prices of airline tickets that are beyond their budgets . These airlines appear to be a cartel .

Once again we have an ambiguous law which will lead to local interpretation that allows the police to penalize . This is how Thailand governs .
