  1. There are 165000 registered trucks, 24 of which are EVs. Of those trucks 250 ICE have burnt in the past year, and 2 EVs in the past 6 months. 165000/250 = 1 in 660 ICE burns v 1 in 12 EV burns. Temp of diesel fire = 800c (can be extinguished) Temp of EV fire = 2,700c (burns steel and concrete, outgassing deadly poisons cobalt, lithium) 2 Victoria firefighters have already been given permanent disability retirement after attending EV fires this year.
  2. My pal toppled his scooter in his driveway, claimed on gov min, paid for his broken hip (just). My hit and run 2 months back, it's paying for my emergency care and broken ribs/collarbone (8 weeks in and 8kbht spent).
  3. How about this electric BMW parked outside my local coffee shop at lunchtime ......
  4. I've tried them all and they're 15-20% THC ...... forget the numbers .........
  5. This is a BYD Atto 3 battery pack, all tightly packed leaf cells, no gaps, no cooling.
  6. Nissan leaf 1 only has a range of 60 miles. After 8-10 years that's down to 20!
  7. My prediction is Trump is seen as a victim, gets a huge sympathy vote, and wins.
  8. Not to worry, climate change will fix it in less than 10 years (according to scientists).
  9. Most Thais don't pay tax in Thailand either. The Thai government is not financed by private individuals income tax.
  10. I think it's due to the 80% of men traditionally used up on the front line surviving and being given welfare. Not to mention the 50% of women that traditionally died in childbirth.
  11. Government minimum insurance covers everyone for 30kbht, which is enough to cover most accidents treated in a government hospital.
  12. But you're not a foreign tourist, you live here and have your own transport.
  13. Disagree, The reason foreign tourists go to private hospitals is because that's where the ambulance takes them.
  14. I live in Thailand, no need for porn, I can do all that myself, and with more attractive women.
  15. I'm more concerned by the Thai private hospitals extorting unwary foreign tourists. In fact if I was a travel insurance company, I would exclude all treatment in Thai private hospitals from my policies just to teach the greedy bar stewards a lesson.
  16. I would be more than happy to pay the UK price of 700gbp for unlimited use of the Thai health service.
  17. I don't believe 'subsidised' is the right word in this situation, as the 30bht is not related to the treatment. My local government hospital doesn't even collect the 30bht, not worth their time I heard someone say. The hospital get a fixed monthly budget, plus any cash they make from non registered or foreign patients. And they appear quite keen to get that cash, they don't seem to view it as a 'charity', or making a loss. My current treatment is mostly X-rays (x2) at 250bht/time, doesn't cost them anything giving 500bht profit per visit. Doctor already hired, hospital makes 50bht. X-ray operators already hired, no consumables as all electronic x-rays, shown on the doctors phone/tablet/PC.
  18. Agree, more money than sense!
  19. More important, how old was the waitress?
  20. You're on ignore for being a worthless person.
  21. Medical services are free to citizens, foreigners pay the actual costs of the service. Nothing is subsidised by the government or anyone else.
  22. Obviously some manufactures are ripping people off. But normal price batteries take about 7 years to repay the outlay, if they last longer than that it's profit. I'm planning for the zombie apocalypse, in any EOTW event the grid will always be the first thing to go.
  23. Solar batteries 12kwhr = 50kbht. https://s.lazada.co.th/s.OSAmJ EV batteries cost far more.
