  1. Yes I can my agent does it all for me. I have to visit the bank but not immigtion. I wont name my agent on open forum but if you PM me apologise for your previous dig at me I will. In any case no good for you he is in Pattaya.
  2. That must be an up country thing. There are many in Pattaya that only deal with the local Jomtien office. 12.5 k all in and you do not have to go anywhere near the immigration office.
  3. And sensible they are too. I keep as little as possible in my Thai bank accounts. Maybe transfer in 20 to 30k a month. I use my no fee excellent exchange rate UK credit cards for most things and pay it off in full from the UK when due.
  4. More fool you for using an agent who deals with an office outside your area. That would be a definate no no from me. The agent I use deals direct with the Jomtien office where I live. Only dodgy ones deal out of area.
  5. Jomtien Immigration. This is one for those people who consistantly say that when you get a new passport you have to go in person to do a 90 day report and submit a new TM30. I entered Thailand on September 28th carrying old and new passports. I was stamped in on new passport. 2 weeks after arrival I visited Jomtien immigration to change my retirement extension stamp to my new passport, a free and easy procedure. No mention of TM30. Yesterday despite people saying it cant be done I submitted ONLINE a new 90 day report using my new passport. This morning it was approved until MARCH. My TM30 is about 6 years old and I always return to the same address with my extension and a re entry permit. Nothing was mentioned about submitting a new one. Many criticisms of Jomtien by people who dont know, but I always find them first class.
  6. In Pattaya all the staff in the large Lotus's have to wear a mask. I give a silent laugh when I see them.
  7. UK credit cards are a different beast to UK banks. Using a no fee UK credit card raises no flags. They expect you to use abroad thats what they are for. I use mine all the time for years now.
  8. I just use my no foreign transaction fee UK credit card for all my Lazada purchases. It saves having to wait in, it stops any scams. Works perfect every time. Cant use on Shopee though which means I dont use them. Obvously the people getting scammed either don't understand or don't bother looking at the item tracking. In our experience we get a call from the delivery driver prior to every delivery. Get scammed its your own fault.
  9. Yes Roojai cheapest but its all great until you need to claim. I think they use preferred garages not main dealers as well. I have always used https://www.viriyah.com/
  10. Lots of confusion. When renewing an extension of stay, it will only be renewed up to expiry of passport. FACT. This year whilst in the UK I got a new passport even though it still had 18 months validity. I did this because I knew that when I renew my extension in May 24 that I would lose months on my extension. On returning to Thailand I showed both passports old and new. They put arrival stamp in new passport. A few weeks later I visited immigration to transfer extension stamps over for free. Dont be caught out and believe some of the drivil being posted in this thread.
  11. Seems way over the top. I am at Jomtien and no under consideration or home visit for retirement extension here. In any case I go back to the UK with my Thai wife for 5 months every year. Waste of time trying to visit me.
  12. Yes there is one called "Polly vous Francais"
  13. I meant Leicester sorry. I have always wondered what It must be like living a life with an old woman might be Thai probably Farang. How would one cope she cant cook, falls asleep on the sofa all the time and her genitals have closed up through lack of use. I suppose it doesn't matter because that person isnt capable anymore anyway. Talking about you just get your kicks watching young Thai girls dancing and singing. I have my eye on you my friend, I suggest you stop insulting me now. You have turned this personal by making insinuations about my wife just because she is an ex gogo girl.
  14. I am very happy with my life thank you. Its a bit sad that all you can do is think about what your life could have been like from your council flat in Burnley.
  15. Lamb for Christmas yuk. You should be bah'd
  16. First sadly Ubon Joe passed away earlier this year. Secondly dont be rude to the people trying to help you. Thirdly the only way you can get 15 months is if you convert from a visa exempt entry or a Tourist Visa to a Non O visa in Thailand (3 months) followed by an extension of stay based on Retirement (12 months). Total 15 months. Subsequent renewals are only 12 months as you already have the Non O and you now have an extension of stay. To get this you can do it via an agent who will provide all the finance for a cost or you can do yourself with the required 800k in the bank.
  17. You really have a problem with the bar and entertainment industry here in Thailand don't you. What is your problem? You seem to assume that everyone who visits a bar is a sex tourist, this is way off the mark. I know many people who just come here to have a good time with friends, some even bring their foreign partners. Perhaps you can share why you hold such puritan views? How old are you? Where are you based? If in Thailand how long have you been here? Are you a non drinker? Do you visit church every Sunday? It appears to me your views are way off the mark. You will probably tell me to mind my own business, but it might help explain why.
  18. Exactly and this is what the holy holy member @proton cannot get his head around.
  19. We are quoting ages because this is the subject of the topic we are discussing. The reason I said its a grey area is because many people think the age of consent in Thailand is 15 and not 18 as it is between Thai and Foreigner. Is it not the expectation of a customer who visits a bar to assume a girl is at least 18 years old? But as we know this is not the case. The problem over here in Thailand is that many many girls especially the smaller ones look young and underage but are in their twenties. The problem with people like yourself is that you think you are morally right to lecture other people. Of course it is wrong to actively groom a young child under the age of consent especially if it then turns into something sexual. It is different if a tourist visits a bar and goes with a girl and she turns out to be underage. This goes back to my statement that its a grey area in the minds of the tourist, but I agree not in the eyes of the law. By the way, there is absolutely nothing wrong with meeting a girl in a gogo and marrying her. My wife is a diamond, she demands nothing from me and I certainly do not pay her a salary or anything like a lottery win.
  20. I married her when she was 22, not 19, in any case, whats it got to do with you. I take it you are a purist who has never visited Pattaya and live in Nakon Nowhere. I am 36 years older than her and we have a great relationship both in Thailand and in the UK when we visit family and friends.
  21. Lol if thats the case then you can go and remove all the 15 to 20 year olds working in bars in Pattaya quite a high percentage by the way. Also all the Thai karaoke clubs across Thailand frequented by Thai men. My wife of 9 years was 19 when I met her working in a gogo, by that definition I am a criminal.
  22. At Jomtien if you are on an extension of stay based on Retirement or Marriage and you have a re entry permit. As long as you return to the same address you do not need to do a new TM30. You are talking about a visa not extension of stay.
