  1. I sometimes think people who deal with the hassle of paying their bills must be bored and need something to do to fill there days. I pay my internet, Water and Electric by direct debit. You set it up and forget about it. I check to see if its all gone through if I have a need to go into the banking app. Easy.
  2. I expect some 2 bit websites to publish incorrect info, but coming from an official source like the Thai embassy is unacceptable.
  3. Absolutely disgracefull that the embassy can publish incorrect information.
  4. Note you only need a re entry permit to keep your permission to stay valid if the Non OA is expired. If within the validity of the visa a re entry is not required.
  5. You are correct it is, however many Thai's also take the Friday before the weekend making it a 4 day holiday. I take your point though as technically you are correct.
  6. You picked a bad day to go. Friday was a Thai holiday. Go back another time and maybe plan your visit better.
  7. Yes Phitsanuluk the hub of Thailand. I would imagine the number of Farangs living there would be relatively small.
  8. Why are you commenting on something that obviously happened years ago. Its not relevant.
  9. A far better option is Pattaya City that should be able to accomodate direct insurance billing. Cheaper than The Memorial nowdays.
  10. I was on a marriage extension for years. At first it was just a case of showing a photo of us outside the house. A few years ago they changed the requirements. At first they needed a photo of us in bed. Now they need 2 photo's to prove that we actually engage in marital activities. Problem is they need different photo's and positions every year. I have bought a copy of the Kama Sutra to give me some new ideas as its getting a bit stressful now at my advanced age of 100 years old.
  11. Download the VYKE app on your phone. Top it up with credit and you can call any landline or mobile in the world. You can even buy a virtual sim number in most countries. Its very cheap.
  12. I really wouldnt worry. I have seen immigration forms issued by immigration which had someones passport copy on the reverse side. Copies passport are a major thing over here.
  13. Well as I have said before, I entered Thailand on 6th November. I am married to a Thai and I have a retirement extension. My initial comment was that the OP did not have an "enforced" period out of Thailand, it was certainly not as long as indicated.
  14. Yes they did close their borders to foreigners but not for long. All I know is that I left Thailand for the UK on July 10th 2020 and returned 6th November 2020 (14 days quarantine). I was then in Thailand until July 1st 2021 I went to the UK and returned to Thailand October 6th 2021 (7 days quarantine)
  15. Of course I do. There are enough people in this thread giving the correct advice, no need for me to add anything. Thats why I posted an alternate view and that was in response to the OP using the word "enforced", when clearly he had a choice.
  16. You mean that you chose to stay in the UK when Covid and the lockdown hit. There was no restrictions on anyone leaving the UK who had a long term visa in Thailand. You would of course have had to quarantine in Thailand on arrival. I myself visited the UK between July and November 2020 and July and October 2021. No restrictions just quarantine
  17. Shame you didnt get stuck in the cave with no internet. It would have saved us all from your endless pointless topics. For heavens sake man, have you nothing better to do. You must be so bored.

  19. I havnt visited Jomtien immigration for at least 2 years as I have had an agent get my retirement extension and reentry permits, I do 90 day online. Yesterday Tuesday at 09.45, as I have a new passport I needed to transfer the stamps. What a breath of fresh air. A new building on the left with a large desk greeting you staffed by 4 people, giving you the correct queue number and any forms. There is also full air con to sit if required and a photocopying area. The building in the middle the main building is the same as before but not busy at all. I had desk 8 ticket 22, it was on 21 already. A quick check of the photocopies and given a ticket to come back today after 1pm. Easy. There is a 3rd building on the right for 90 day reports and TM30. Well done Jomtien a totally professional easy experience.
  20. Are you bored,? You start so many banal topics.
  21. Oh come on use common sense. I have since 2013 been coming to Thailand for 8 months a year. June to Sept inclusive. From the UK. 1. I leave key with neighbour with my and my sons contact details 2. My mail just builds up 3. I turn the mains water off 4. I leave the thermostat on about 12°c and have the water and heating come on for 15 mins twice a day. The heating only clicks in if its colder than 12° c. 5. I have 3 stand alone lights in different rooms programmed with a plug in timer. In the 10 years of doing this I have had no issues at all.
  22. You dont need Google maps use your eyes pal, they are all over the place in Pattaya.
  23. What has happened to the good old Xananax. Half a tablet and you will sleep for around 6 hours. I know its techically a banned substance now in Thailand but its freely available if you enquire around. Failing that an Atarax tablet works just as well. Available cheap from the pharmacy.
