Vehicle Inspector Reassigned Amid Deadly School Bus Fire Probe
digbeth replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
in proper testing place for road tax the cctv is linked to land transport office and supposedlty there's a file sent of the vehicel being tested, but due to the amount of renewals, I doubt any get checked in details, no doubt many of you would have tales of 'friendly' inspection place that can produce the certiricate without having set foot or drive the vehicle in the place -
how much of the bus is from 54 years ago? not the engine, not the body, only the chassis and maybe some suspension components it's not an aircraft where repeated vibrations would make the steel unworthy providing that the body is done up competenly of course, I don't think Thailand is up to standards like fire resistant fabric or even the whole fiberglass they use to build the bodies, they only test that it's not too top heavy adn topple over on a slope for it to pass the first registration

7-Eleven Introduces Convenient PromptPay QR Code Payments Nationwide
digbeth replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
If you have it linked to credit cards, you can use it to pay out of your credit card for purchases under 2-300 baht that's below the minimum that 7-11 will accept cards, that's it years ago before promptpay it was few of the ways teenagers can send money to each other and pay for games, mobile phone credits without accesss to bank accounts, but now with promppay and inter-bank transfer for individuals being free there's no need for true money/wallet whatsoever -

digbeth replied to 33 RPM's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
to pay for annual road tax in person you don't need ID or even the blue/green book, and certainly not residence certificate, just a photocopy of registrationh book is enough the new online system since July requires ThaiID app to log in, previous accounts that you had can't be used to pay, only look at status of past payments -

Getting a credit card
digbeth replied to MarkT63's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Of course the bank would say no, but if you were to present a bank book used as secured deposit to immigraiton, how could immigration tell? in my BBL book, it just looks like any other termed deposit book with regular interest payment in, no withdrawal out, just how immigratin like your accounts to be untouched -
Getting a credit card
digbeth replied to MarkT63's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
has anyone managed to make the secured deposit the 800k required by immigration? for those of us that needs it? the bank book and statement when requested doesn't say anything about it being used as collateral against credit cards, plus as term deposit you can't withdraw before the 'due date' anyway so immigration can't ask for withdrawal/deposits to get fresh statements If it's possible then you can actually 'spend' the 800k using this loophole -
What airline is the best option for domestic flights these days?
digbeth replied to Old Fool's topic in Thailand Travel Forum
There are actually Thai government employee deal, while not the cheapest compared to the cheapest fare with no options ticked on that flight (in case of low cost carrier like AirAsia), but has included snacks(not full meal) and baggage allowance, fixed price at around 2,200-3000 baht depending on route -

do you eat those meat raw? FDA is only concerned with packaged foods on shelves, if it's served on stall or behind counter, in restaurant settings, that's fine, the rationale is that there's someone to explain the ingredients if need be, but random pies and pastry cooked by some farang in their kitchen wrapped in foil or plastic on shelves? Cooked food with someone on market stall means at least someone's responsible for serving them Sure you can sell directly to your customers, to restaurant to serve to customers without FDA approval, but the moment you leave them in fridge for customers to pick themselves, that's when you need FDA Cut/Sliced/grated cheese you can sell behingd the counter no problem, go to Big C or any supermarket and you'll see them packed in store, no fda numbers either, same with sausages like bologna, but usually the sliced ones are behind the counter and served from a staff, and pre-sliced packaged from the factory woutd have FDA numbers on them I think issue with the business in question is lots of random foodstuff like pies from local guy not having any labelling at all And once the FDA visited the premise, they took issue with everything from the cut cheese, which even big supermarket might be in breach of too
-
many pies companies in Pattaya manage to get FDA approval and sell to supermarket chains all the way in Bangkok, so the poor sole traders selling from their home kitchen is no excuse, if you sell at a restaurant or market without FDA number, that's fine, if you sell it at a bar that's also fine, but you can't pack it for retail sales without label, ingredients, having your premises inspected
-
Thai FDA approval is always required, some supermarkets that import their own stuff might have a few itms with no Thai label and FDA numbers on, usually for much cheaper than the ones that's been through Thai distributor/importer They've got away with it if the numbers are small enough and they're relatively low profile in case of supermarkets importing their own, the odd container every now and then or mates bringing suitcase full of stuff over but when your business is built around importing stuff....

The same could be argued for gyms, pools and other facilities that's popular now like co-working space/library-studies you may not use it yourself but in order to make the co-owners agree, you you could spin in that it affects the resaleability of the condo - consider your exisitng condo and newer builds with EV charging.... plus it generates money and cashflow for the condo

injuries, but not damages to property and vehicles, also void if the driver is not licensed or under influence
-
most of the dc charging networks will offer some deald with the juristic person to share profit/rent but only if the area to put the DC charger in is accessible by the public, that measn guest car park area even in condos with plugs in the pariing area for PHEVs, most are still doing the manual method of having the maintenance guy read the meter and add that to the bill, I've heard of case where some co-owners donate theri wall box + installation to the condos as to save them having to use the granny slow charger
