What do security guards actually do in Thailand?
digbeth replied to bob smith's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
upstanding members of society would be screaming bloody murder if they're asked to leave ID to visit a friend in a condo -
at the age they're at now, the engine's getting long in the tooth and most would have been LPG converted at some point which takes extra toll on the engine unless maintained properly, parts could be a problem due to rarity of the engine some has factory approved LPG kit installed from the dealer, might fare better than aftermarket ones so look out for that if you don't like Diesel, the smaller 2.4 petrol are known to survive LPG and is a better known quantity and is found in more models and sold for longer period, so parts availability is not a problem but performance wise, if you want it - go for it but make sure your local mechanic can work on it and source parts for it

the smaller size (usually for electronics) ones might not be available in hardware / diy stores like Homepro

Ever Wondered about the Different Types of Thai Noodles ?
digbeth replied to CharlieH's topic in General Topics
Kway Teow in Malaysia and SIngapore is just the broad noodles what the Thais call 'Sen Yai' Kuai Teow used in Thai is actually the all encompassing category for all rice noodles like 'pasta' this includes the Sen Mi, Sen Lek and Sen Yai -
there are plenty of pet-friendly condos now, the rent's usually higher and occupancy very low, empty units get rented out fast it only takes the sort of nosy neighbor/committee member with nothing to do but complain to see you take the pet out in elevator for once to kick up a fuss and makes it a problem for you I used to keep small dogs in my condo and has to teach her to 'hide' and be bundled up in blankets to take her out for walks and to the vets etc...

At Suvannabhumi, the long term parking is like 140 a day, no roof, hardly any security around and spotty shuttle service, for a few days trip it's not cheaper enough and I'd just park at the main one

The old Amari hotel with the connected footbridge to DMK are now offering parking, last I remembered it's not fully covered, but beats the <deleted>show at DMK

for consumers, the worst that could happen is the key is revoked, the difference in cost savings between OEM keys and the dodgier keys are only a few hundred Baht, why take the risk? -

these cheap license are probably volume license originally sold to corporate installations, the resellers essentially has 'stolen' these license and sell them below cost or in breach of contract when they originally bought the license if they indeed obtained it themselves, , if your business were reported and audited, these would probably not count as having valid license -

tell that to the police with warrant and army of lawyers they'll send you if you were reported to be using their products without a correct license, if you're small enough or just a single person sure they probably won't care but businesses do get audited and it's illegal -
Visa-free entry for Chinese nationals has many consequences
digbeth replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
the deal with China and Russia is, reciprocal, ie, Thais get visa-free entry to those countries this is one of Sretta's campaign to raise the status of Thai passport, he did paid lip service with trying to negotiate similar deal with the EU, if all else fails, he can point to the success of this as 'look' I got you visa free travels to more nations,
