  1. When I opened my fixed account I just needed my passport. Already had a savings account. This was SCB though.
  2. Cotton swabs can push the earwax back into the canal and clog it up. Go to an ear, nose, throat doctor and let them look at it. My ears were completely plugged up and the doctor told me to not use cotton swabs.
  3. tell her you know where she has been going and see what she says.
  4. Some car wash places do a good job of removing scratches. As long as it is not very deep.
  5. Driving in Thailand, Kiss - Detroit Rock City "I have to laugh because I know I'm going to die"
  6. Probably turning on your emergency flashers to signal drug dealers is not the brightest idea.
  7. Around 260°C teflon will start breaking down and release toxic chemicals into the air.
  8. You need to do something pretty quickly. It will only get worse. I don't know if you have the ability to take a trip with your family for a few weeks or longer to get her away from it for awhile. If you do a search for gambling rehab thailand you will find lots of links. Here is one to start with: How to Help a Gambling Addict: Advice for Partners & Family (thailandrehabguide.com)
  9. I think it is better to have a separate account for the immigration requirement for a couple of reasons. 1) To have bank statements that don't have 100's of entries for immigration to look at. 2) To keep you from accidentially overspending and dropping below the required amount. I imagine even a regular savings account you could open without getting a card for it if you wanted.
  10. It says the dead man had a gun too. So it may have been self defense.
  11. Both of the comb guards that broke off have several missing teeth on them. I guess the question is were they already missing? I don't see any of the teeth laying around there but they may have fallen down inside.

  13. If you don't want to have to deal with the insurance requirement for an O-A it's better to go for a regular O visa.
  14. You are correct. Just my old, addled brain automatically thinking flour for soft tortillas. They are normally made with small soft corn tortillas.
  15. The fried corn tortilla tacos are more American than Mexican. Mexican tacos are made with small soft flour tortillas. With meat, onions, cilantro and lime squeezed on them. More like this:
  16. I'd say if you really want to self insure you should have at least 5 million in reserve. You also would need the ability to replenish it if you have to use it.
  17. So I think that works out to 71% annual return. Should have been a red flag right there.
  18. Lots of Thais seem to think that every snake they see is the most deadly one in the world. I guess it's better to be safe than sorry. But a lot of snakes are killed needlessly here. My next door neighbor had a large oriental rat snake in his yard and called the police to have someone catch and remove it. (I had seen it in my yard a few times.) But anyway the people show up to catch it and the snake has a little defensive reaction. I heard them say to each other, "It must be mixed with a cobra. Those snakes don't normally react like that." Silly what some believe here.
  19. The Thai banks offer mutual funds. Some of which are for American stocks. But the fees are rather high. Much better to use a regular broker. Brokers list 2023 for Thailand
  20. It looks like it was more a matter of the guards before you step off being broke off.
  21. My wife's ID is lifetime. I think at age 65 you get a lifetime one. Not sure on the exact age though.
  22. I thought they said they wrapped it up a couple of weeks ago.
