  1. My wife wanted some candy canes one year. I ordered some on amazon with prepaid customs included. DHL instisted I mail my passport to them, which I refused. They also wanted to add more fees, including a storage fee. They also said they could not return the item. I ended up refusing it. Luckily when I showed amazon the correspondence from DHL they agreed to refund it anyway. There shouldn't have even been any customs on a $13 box of candy.
  2. Typically when motorcycles are going the wrong way they are doing so on the shoulder of the opposing lane. Which would most likely mean the damage on the bus should be on the left side not the right side. At least in that photo the bus is crossing over into the other lane. Hard to say what exactly happened without video. Obviously there is only one sides story of what occurred.
  3. I've transfered over $200,000 US dollars with no problem. SCB just calls for anything over $20,000 US dollars to ask if it is for personal use or to purchase property. One thing I would say with using Wise is the exchange rate they show you is after fees. So your actual exchange rate is lower. Right now it shows an exchange rate of 35.3450 but if I send $10,000 I received 350,736.21. So the actual exchange rate I get is 35.0736.
  4. I'm guessing they just removed the extra words before using it.
  5. Laotian, Burmese, Cambodian for the most part. Someone has to do the actual work.
  6. So is telling them your address every 90 days even though you haven't moved in years. But hey government loves pointless things.
  7. And how much more do you pay in taxes for your 'free' medical care? Even if we made doctors indentured servants we would still have to feed and house them. Plus the costs of utilities for hospitals, cost for supplies, etc. Someone has to pay for it.
  8. Isn't the problem that the government issues permits that should not be issued because someone makes a profit from it?
  9. Perhaps they should be using wooden or fiberglass painting poles when working around power lines.
  10. Kind of crazy that they are fining both sides when these incidents occur if they press charges. Usually causing both sides not to press charges. Which leads to more of this behavior in the future.
  11. Most of the Thai painters I have seen love to thin the heck out of the paint first. To the point of it looking watery.
  12. My nephew told me those girls on stage all gyrating when you have sex with them they just lay there.
  13. looks pretty close to fitting. Let some air out of the tires.
  14. Maybe three choices: pay or stay away or stay in the trunk
  15. The meter was placed before the transformer?
  16. Maybe they could use 'bull milk' to tide everyone over.
  17. Basically what happens is if your insurance expires before a full year your permission to stay will only be until the date the insurance expires. It's really only a problem the first time as long as your insurance expires the same date each year. But as many have already stated it's better to do the NON-O rather than the NON O-A if possible.
  18. I imagine she had to pay quite a bit for all that facial surgery.
  19. Yes being cremated properly makes it easier to breathe.
  20. From the linked article the driver claimed: As they approached the railway, Wichai noticed the oncoming train and came to a stop. However, one of the passengers urged him to proceed, assuring him that they could cross the railway in time. Tragically, they could not make it in time, and the train collided with the back of the pickup, where most of the colleagues were seated. I'm guessing if pressed he will say it was one of the people that died that told him. The article does go one with another explanation of what might have occured.
  21. Most likely so because his 30 year sentence automatically reduces to a 15 year sentence.
  22. My goodness how did hospitals give treatment to anyone before computers existed.
