  1. Less about bad investments. More about another man that refuses to let his wife leave him.
  2. It's the Ft, fuel surcharge, that has affected the bills the most. They jacked it way up when fuel prices were high but never lowered it when they came back down.
  3. From the linked article: "Anucha told Channel 3 that he was stressed during his detention and almost admitted to committing a crime because of the pressure." I guess the pressure is that if you confess your sentence is reduced 50%. Even if you are innocent but think you are going to be stuck in prison you would be tempted to take the shorter sentence.
  4. Did she check her meter to see if the reading on the bill is close to the actual reading on the meter? Also check the meter to see if it is spining when nothing is being used.
  5. Maybe fastum gel would help some for now. It is for pain and inflammation. It's not one of those menthol gels.
  6. When you get paid interest depends on the length of the deposit you choose. So if you choose a 1 year fixed rate you will get paid interest 1 year from when you deposit money into the account.
  7. Yet somehow planes have been taking off for decades without weighing passengers. I can only see one purpose and that is to add more fees.
  8. There is some keto bread on lazada. I have not tried it yet. I have an order coming in a couple days.
  9. Don't eat salt either. It is made from 2 poisonous products, sodium and chlorine. Ironically you need salt to function properly.
  10. Step off before the belt ends. Don't let the belt push you off.
  11. We let a close friend borrow 1 million baht for their wedding plus a chanote for one of our properties. They returned everything the day after the wedding. It's all about show.
  12. I never assume that just because the light turned green it is safe to proceed. The only days I don't see red lights being run are the days I stay home all day. That truck driver beside her must have seen the car coming because he didn't budge until after the accident.
  13. Theoretically they could win enough votes to get the PM seat. If that did happen though something would be done to stop it. It would be very difficult to get that many votes though. First you have to overcome the senate votes. And then they have 40 or so parties running to dilute the votes.
  14. If you move to Thailand full time with no US address you will have to let the social security unit at the US embassy in Manila know about it. You can get your SS payments sent directly to a Thai bank. Also there is a form they are supposed to mail to you every year if you live overseas. You are required to fill it out and mail it back otherwise your payments will be stopped. Sort of a proof of life thing I guess. Here is a page where you can ask questions: https://ph.usembassy.gov/services/fbu-inquiry-form/ (one of the drop down items is 'change of bank') General information page: https://ph.usembassy.gov/services/social-security/
  15. There is no hell in true buddhism. Or perhaps you could say this existence is hell. One of the main tenants of buddhism is "life is suffering". The main goal is too stop being reborn and become one with the universe, in other words lose your identity as an individual.
  16. If you want to be a millionaire go to Loas and exchange a couple thousand baht.
  17. You don't need to be handsome if you have enough money.
  18. But will they stop trucks from being overloaded? Not only should they be fined when overloaded but they should stop the truck and have the company come out and remove the overload before allowing the truck to leave again.
  19. Her husband is a senator appointed after the coup. Her father is an ex parliment member.
  20. Also if you have Thai bank accounts you will need to go in with your passports and have them change to the new passport number.
  21. I've had really bad tinnitus for decades now. They never have been able to do anything to help it. Too many concerts I guess. There must be tons of Thais with it judging how they love to blare distorted music for kilometers at wats and festivals.
