Was in Nan a few weeks ago. Maybe the most boring place I have ever been in Thailand. Limited western amenities, English, with nothing to do all day or at night. Maybe a good place to retire, be totally bored, and die.

They really needed to do all this in the middle of high season? It is a bad mess. Sukhumvit's issue is the lack of proper warning or coned lane changes to get traffic thru. Just big holes in the ground find your way around it. It is these type of stupid issues lack of common sense that make this place 3rd worldish. Broken windows can't get the simple things right the rest goes to S.

Doesn't just about everyone hate others nowadays? Lots of hate against Asians also. Many Europeans hate those from other European countries. And, look at the U.S. people hate those from other political parties. Hate is very powerful thing in people's minds. Makes them in some way feel superior and better then others. I can see it getting much worse and probably not better at all in the future.

There is an old lady clinging at one of the major hospitals in Bangkok. She vets all patients prior to seeing a Doctor. Sorry, she is very dumb and clueless I complained about her they should definitely dump some of these worthless old fossils like her.

I have never had to show my passport for a domestic flight. My Thai drivers license has always been sufficient.

So, you parked on a through road with flashers to do your shopping? How dangerous, selfish and down right irresponsible. Then, some poor kid on a motorbike probably assuming the road should be clear rams into it? It is impeding a roadway to just park with flashers to take care of business. In a western country, you would quite possibly be at fault for illegal parking. I would make the kid pay nothing and be thankful he wasn't seriously injured..
