Have you signed the contract with PEA? The solar company may have filed the initial application with PEA but you have to sign the contract. There should also be an inspection of your installation by PEA before making the contract. I think you are better off by asking PONIX about the status.

We don't have to be too concerned about the quality of one-day tourists, they don't use a lot of water or electricity and neither I in Chaweng or Tropicalevo in the pointy end will see much of them. They mainly stay in southern Samui and are probably a gifted addition to the income for many businesses down there.One-day tourists are only quantity tourist. Samui could do though with a higher quality of long-staying foreigners, they/we are the ones putting a burden on Samui's infrastructure.

Samui businesses needs all customers they can get and if they stay on the cruise ships because the trip from ship to shore is too long or inconvenient then it is a lost income for them. As retirees we may see the tourists with a different eye than the business owners but I think we have to accept that the tourists are needed..

I should mention that all consumers creates a bit of reactive power on the grid so the digital meter can measure how much there is of it on incoming meter terminals and how much there is of it on outgoing terminals which means that they can directly see how much Q you have created in relation to how much P you have used. It is common in Europe that big industries have to install equipment to lower their Q but I have never heard of home users having to do it or being charged for it. So @Muhendis, you can say that Q stands for Quality (of the AC sine wave) and it may be the reason why that letter has been chosen, it is an international standard.

P is active energy , Q is reactive energy where P usually flows from grid into load and Q is bounced back from load to grid.

I don't think any of the digital meters have that but they have a button to switch between display mode, they can display P and Q in both directions.

I have an online 90-day report with status pending since 5 days ago and received the confirmation of receipt email. What is a bit worrying is that I didn't get the reminder email which they use to send out a couple of weeks beforehand so something is wacky in their system. Since I got the confirmation of receipt email then that must count as a 90-day report made in due time right? I shouldn't have to do anything until they either approve or reject the report. 😃
