  1. knock off the mains, check the meter they turn each circuit on one by one and turn appliances on one by one (at each circuit) check the meter each time buy a plug in meter to confirm watts of each appliance
  2. Exactly this👆 if not busy they will use only a section of the restaurant this is to make it easier for the limited staff they have during non busy times and sometimes staff have sections they work, and not all staff start the same time it also means once set they do not need to recheck or clean the unused sections again if the restaurant is not busy, don't go sit in the furthest corner away from everyone if asked to move use some simple logic to figure out why, without it needed to be explained. many places operate like this, it is common worldwide.
  3. why call the police? what was the crime here? (i assume he paid for the spa)
  4. why pay if beer was off and ordered to leave? most likely pipes as you assume the fact he refused to taste it means he likely knows what the issue is
  5. IIRC The digital nomad visa requirements are not really suited for most digital nomads and yes they still have hoops to jump through
  6. Bhutan: wealth is measured by happiness Thailand: hold my beer
  7. what a lot here are missing... Those guards are part of the brown envelope monthly subscription who do you think they indirectly work for? every bar in that soi will pay a monthly brown envelope That envelope gets split how ever many ways one slice will go to the agent that employs the guards
  8. not sure about humans but this is what you do with puppies you pinch the back of the neck
  9. read my above post i am not making assumptions or saying what happened i am pointing out something that does happen frequently in Pattaya
  10. you can get N2O and CO2
  11. yes that was the point i initially made what the cashier sees may not be the case they could have met the 3rd guy minutes or hours before and got chatting, could have even met him walking down soi 6 just because they enter together, does not mean they are together. i knew long stayers who were known for doing this, have met others who brag of doing this
  12. i do not disagree at all i only mention the 3rd guy as if unknown to them, then it clearly justifies the tourists reactions when asked to pay someone else's bill but if they did know the person and were all together as a group, then yeh a bit dumb to kick up a fuss with the cashier to start it all if it was theirs mates bin, just pay it.
  13. They are very likely part of the monthly brown envelope package that every bar in the soi pays in to
  14. you need a license/permission to export to the grid it can be dangerous to export to grid when not supposed to
  15. when did you fly biz class last?
  16. TLDR if you pee dark yellow go drink some water All you need to know
  17. no mention of whether they knew the 3rd guy or not? usually between friends, especially if on holiday or just out together it would not be an issue paying a known friends bill and getting it back later i seen the videos the guards started the violence imo once bill was paid, guards should have left as all resolved iirc the first act was throwing some bystander out of the bar who was just trying to calm the situation
  18. when i had a go-go bar we had security that was provided by the police we were paying one of those security punched one of our own girls in the face when she declined to give him some money (she could not work for a week) i fired all 3 of them that night (as the other 2 just stood there and watched and done nothing) and then had 2 of them come next night threatening to cut my throat.
  19. not saying this is what happened but from experience i can tell you it is very common for expats and tourists to quickly make new "friends" here while out n about, move on to the next bar together as a group then the new friend suddenly disappears after running up a bill had this happen a few times, even with expats when in groups
  20. how thick is the wall? what drill do you have? i have drill bits for this 20mm bit 300mm long etc but are SDS so it may depend on your drill
  21. for 1/2 inch hole, you need a 12 or 13mm diamond-coated or carbide-tipped drill bit drill from tile side, do not use hammer on tile, tape on tile will help too, also drops of water if needed when drilling drill on slow speed to start, do not apply too much pressure, pause frequently you can get tile drill bits that have more of a point but not sure that size just take your time myself i would also buy a box of new tiles ready to replace the first attempt lol and hopefully they won't be needed and would be a waste of time purchasing which is still better than needing them but not having them. saying that it is 1/2 inch pipe, iirc they are not exactly 1/2inch OD have you measured the pipe for exact dimension?
  22. Aren't casinos legal in Myanmar? also have they never heard of solar? something the casinos can easily afford
  23. This is where you will struggle.
  24. just imagine if WW3 does break out and conveniently and completely coincidentally whilst remaining neutral Thailand just legalizes stuff, like kratom, weed, shrooms, coke, smack, gambling and prostitution just in the nick of time mmmmmm...........🤔
