  1. exactly, same with UPS and possibly DHL
  2. ok I got it, "web3" is a marketing bullshít for "application using blockchain technology"
  3. bullshít has some use dafuq is that? crypto enthusiast since 2010
  4. have any of you tried getting verified with a driving license instead of a passport?
  5. It is an alternative to Tor and could not substiture a VPN. And, same with Tor, the exit nodes of I2P are added to every single blacklist possible, so most of the "normal" internet either will not work at all or will make you solve a captcha for every request.
  6. Even if it could be unlocked (most likely yes because Huawei routers usually are very customizable) there is a high chance that only 3G will work because 4G networks in Thailand might be incompatible with UK router. You should check the list 4G network bands supported by that router and compare them with Thailand 4G bands. see this https://aseannow.com/topic/1236854-ais-vs-dtac-vs-truemove-true-h-technical-info-for-it-nerdsnolifers/?do=findComment&comment=17042991
  7. a harmless Huntsman spider, it is your friend because it eats bad insects like the cockroaches. LOL I've literally laughed here, this topic reminded me of a divers' joke, something like "what is the difference between scuba divers and normal people? - when somebody at the beach shouts "SHARK!" normal people run out of the water and divers run into the water"
  8. The owner of the IP address is much more important than any encryption or obfuscation. The most basic and simple transparent proxy with IP address that belongs to the home or mobile ISP will hide your ass better than a highly encrypted and heavily obfuscated VPN protocol with IP address that belongs to "Hide My Ass VPN Co. Ltd."
  9. I've described everything in my topic https://aseannow.com/topic/1263948-isp-technical-support-contacts-needed/?do=findComment&comment=17708331 AIS loses up to 100% packets between Bangkok and Singapore, when connecting from Thailand to Europe (in particular - Netherlands and France). DTAC at the very same time has zero packet loss.
  10. Before installing some random apps you should try the embedded diagnostics features first, for example - open Call menu and dial *#*#4636#*#* Some phones will run a hidden "phone info" system app where you could see network info and even choose some "Preferred Network Type" option not available int the usual Settings - Network menu.
  11. I have the same SIM and could confirm that AIS sucks, but at least it is better than Truemove. I have made a few topics about it: https://aseannow.com/topic/1263948-isp-technical-support-contacts-needed/?do=findComment&comment=17708331 https://aseannow.com/topic/1236854-ais-vs-dtac-vs-truemove-true-h-technical-info-for-it-nerdsnolifers/ (please note that AIS should have a "Shít tier" - I was not able to edit the opening post to change its "Low tier" to the real value) However I'm getting 2x higher speeds than advertised - about 30 mbps, so for casual browsing/youtubing AIS is OK. But when it comes to connections to Europe it is a huge PITA, I often get 100% packet loss while my phone with DTAC SIM has zero problems at the same time.
  12. It highly depends on the bank, I've recently opened another bank account for the very same purposes - safe online payments - and it was a fking PITA! I do not recommend a "light blue bank". Despite I have an account with them for almost 10 years already it was not sufficient to open a 2nd one - the clerk forced me to show a work permit and even the driving license! "sorry new policy ka, must bring original can not show picture kaa". but possibly it has something to do with my plague passport...
  13. It depends on the techniques they apply to determine your location. It could vary from just a Country to the very town+street. these are just a very basic countermeasures and they will not prevent an extensive aggressive fingerprinting by the interested parties. A much better way is to setup a virtual machine to use exclusively with the bank website, connect the virtual OS to the VPN adapter from the host OS, and forbid getting ANY information from the host operating system (the host OS shares the location/language/timezone/etc with the virtual OS by default).
  14. your choice is pretty limited - only 3 banks are suitable. Among these three I have an account only with Bangkok Bank and could agree that it is not the best bank. I think that you should try Kasikorn as I know many people who have accounts with Kasikorn and are very happy with it.
  15. nope, only law enforcements (and some hackers) can discover the real IP behind the VPNs, while the general public such as banks use public methods such as I've described above. And if you use "bank apps" on your smartphone instead of the online banking then you are your own worst enemy.
  16. good idea but they will need a dedicated IP address or else an intermediate VPN would be required. If they have a dedicated IP address then you could setup a VPN server on their computer or router instead of using Teamviewer. There is like a million of methods to determine your location regardless of your IP address, the most basic are: browser timezone and operating system languages. If a website sees that your timezone is Asia/Bangkok and browser supported languages are EN, TH then your American IP most likely is fake.
  17. You need a VPN server that has a "residential IP" - i.e. an IP address belonging to the home Internet provider rather than a datacenter. The best option is asking your tech-savvy friend in the US to share their Internet connection with you. Also there are services such as Luminati and Peer2Profit that sell VPNs and proxies made from hacked routers with admin:admin credentials, disguising themselves as a legit "get paid for sharing your internet" services. But I would not use those for banking.
  18. ask them if they could sell thru Shopee, i believe Shopee has smaller fees.
  19. Besides the marketing bullshít they did not state which IP address they use, so it's impossible to tell for sure if streamers/banks won't be able to determine if you are using VPN or not. The easiest and most reliable method to tell if a user connects thru VPN is checking who owns the user's IP address - if it belongs to "Amazon AWS" or "SurfShark LLC" instead of "Verizon Home Internet" then it's definitely a VPN.
  20. A "mobile banking" payment option is unavailable, pressing its button results in "Sorry, this payment channel is not available for this order." error. I've checked with 3 different items so it's not a particular order for sure. A few days ago it was working. Do you experience the same problem?
  21. you are posting in > Thailand > Business in Thailand, Jobs in Thailand, Insurance forum, not "Australia > Business in Australia" or New Zealand or Malaysia or whichever else country you reside in.
