  1. most likely it would be a crypto scammer instead of a mentor
  2. this is a special tariff, you could not switch to it and it is not sold in the offices, you have to buy a new SIM card with that tariff preinstalled. Search for "1 year sim" on Shopee or Lazada and you'll find similar offers from all mobile providers. I could recommend the seller called "aLot" as I've bought several SIMs from them already, no issues.
  3. or a "marathon" SIM for 1600/year, same 15 Mbps but traffic is capped to 100 GB/month
  4. I'd like to remind to all of you: do NOT click on the "item received" button before inspecting the item! I've made many orders on Shopee and made some returns because sellers sent a wrong item or an item that did not suit my needs. I've never had any problems with returning the item through Shopee, in fact it is very easy and convenient - Shopee gives you a QR code which you present to a nearest Kerry or a similar courier service, and they ship the item back at no cost. And you receive the money back even sooner than the seller receives the item back, lol. But a few times I've mistakenly pressed the 'order received' button before actually checking the item. And that was a PITA because if you press that button the Shopee will not let you to return the item through their platform anymore, and you will have to arrange the return&refund with the seller yourself - asking them for the shipping details and shipping at your cost. And most sellers on Shopee are being Thai ???? - they stop responding once they realize there is some problem with the item, as they don't want to bother nor "lose their face" or whatever, and you'll be left with an item you don't need.
  5. just got another parcel, "computer parts" (SSD storage) worth 700 USD, shipped by the usual Post - zero import tax, I wasn't even asked for 7% VAT.
  6. Is there any difference between the "savings" and the "current" accounts? All of my bank accounts are of "savings" type and I've been using them for years without any issues - paying online and attaching to PayPal (both the card and the bank account), paying offline and even abroad, etc.
  7. I don't know anything about US-TH agreements regarding delivery of the official letters, but do know that Thailand is not a member of the Apostille Convention so any letters verified by Thai notary most likely will not be accepted in US court. Check here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostille_Convention Wasn't it obvious already?
  8. yep I've googled that SEPA transfers work during business days only, same as SWIFT. well, that's yet another argument in favor of using the cryptocurrencies.
  9. I've tried to send money from my Wise SEPA account to another bank in SEPA zone yesterday at the morning and the Wise website was telling "transfer will take a few seconds" before I've confirmed the transfer, but once I've confirmed and Wise took money from my balance their website said "transfer will be executed on monday 3rd October". is that the Wise limitation that they work only Monday to Friday or all transfers in SEPA zone are executed on business days only?
  10. channels = network bands on which a mobile network works (e.g. 900 MHz or 1800 MHz) carrier aggregation = using different network bands at once, for example if you get 5mbps speed on band8 and 10 mbps speed on band40 you will get 15 mbps with carrier aggregation enabled. cheap chinese noname routers mostly use "cat 4" modems* which are not capable of carrier aggregation so you will have a maximum of 10 mbps with an example above. and if that router does not support one of the bands, for example band40 from the example above, you will get a maximum of 5mbps. two channels carrier aggregation appeared in cat6, and three channels carrier aggregation appeared in cat9, so if you want high speeds then 1) you must buy router that uses a modem with cat.9 technology 2) you must check which bands/channels does that router support, and that they correspond to the bands used by your mobile provider. 3) you must check that the carrier aggregation bands supported by the router correspond to the ones used by your mobile provider. for example, if the router supports 2CA B1+B8, B3+B8, B8+B40, and your provider runs 2CA B3+B5, B1+B40 then you won't get a carrier aggregation because bands do not match. You will get a single connection to either B1, B3, or B40. * - still I must notice that the cheap and old routers are totally worth it if you have a 10mbps or 20mbps tariff and live near the mobile provider base station. so if you get a good signal and do not need a high speed internet then you could use a category 4 device. also read this topic or at least this post: https://aseannow.com/topic/1236854-ais-vs-dtac-vs-truemove-true-h-technical-info-for-it-nerdsnolifers/?do=findComment&comment=17042991
  11. IT related groups in Facebook, search for something like "Linux Thailand"
  12. cat4 is even more ancient. modern = cat15
  13. also you should know that all routers are few steps behind the mobile phones in terms of technology - while the modern mobile phones use the LTE Category 15 (speeds up to 1000 Mbps), you won't find such mobile router, because most of them use ancient cat6 - cat9 hardware. So if you need really high speeds you have to search for at least cat9 router, and FFŚ do not buy chinese noname routers because most likely they will have cat4 which does not even support Carrier Aggregation - meaning you won't get even 20mbps with them.
  14. yep, I've initiated the transfer yesterday after 9:30 AM and got money today exactly at 2:02 PM. transferred Euros, asked for a rounded sum like X0000 THB for a test and received exactly X0000 THB so the exchange rate was guaranteed and locked for at least 1 day.
  15. the mobile internet providers do limit the speed for hotspots, and it's very easy to do so because they see that the connecting device's IMEI belongs to the "hotspot router" rather than "mobile phone". good routers allow changing the IMEI to pretend being a mobile phone rather than the router.
  16. nope. Despite Huawei is a piece of shít when it comes to enterprise gear (and any other too, lol), they are the leaders in mobile networking. So in a choice of 3G router between TP-Link and Huawei - go for Huawei, and in choice of everything else - stay away from Huawei.
  17. you forgot to include the traditional banks in your list.
  18. well, as nobody commented, I will answer to myself: we are at number 3 now, number 2 was in June when BTC hit 17500 for a moment.
  19. BTW, makes AIS a perfect hosting/ISP for cybercriminals LOL
  20. still 85% packet loss between 49.231.70.51 AIS, Bangkok and 184.104.210.173 Hurricane Electric, Singapore. and still no answer from - [email protected] - [email protected] - [email protected] I think I'll have to register in Twitter or Facebook ???? but meanwhile will try to contact [email protected], just in case
  21. then he is not a professional, because any IT professional knows how to append data to partially uploaded file.
