Just bumping your thread as no reply. I'm guessing that for the reasons you mention eg Muay Thai , Thai Language etc that that an agent might be used to organize the courses. The bottom line is that you need to have the visa issued outside of Thailand. Agents I have chatted with are using Savannakhet.

Doesn't work that way. You request a 12 month bank statement from the bank and they will provide that with a bank stamp on it. Unfortunately BBL require 5 days to do that. The bank does not provide that. The 12 month statement will have all the deposits. You can highlight the monthly transfers of 65k+ (they prefer that is on consistent dates) Assume that your thread title should be "bank statement for extension from non O-A visa.
-
Assume that you are asking about money in bank 800k for either application for non O OR application for 12 months extension. Non O requires 800k in bank on day of application. For first extension the 800k (min) needs to have been in bank for 2 months. For ongoing extensions require 2 months prior to application and 3 months after application and not below 400k in other months. In the main immigration will accept your bank book. Some offices want 12 month bank statement for 12 month extension. Only the application for non O requires funds shown from abroad. For extensions that is not required

I don't need a tourist visa?

What's the issue. Previously visa exempt entry was 30 days and currently it's 60 days. Your trip is 35 days. -
Is this viable for 6 months stay in Thailand
DrJack54 replied to spambot's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
OP, sound advice above regarding just doing two visa exempt entries with 30 day extensions . You can still border bounce same day (no overnight stay) at some places. Bangkok or Pattaya to Cambodia agent mini van is good option. Depending location Nong Khai also. Regarding the Vietnam suggestion that would work however would suggest mini holiday there rather the very quick turnaround. Also that plan would involve onward flight for return to Thailand visa exempt. -
Residence certificate with Tourist Visa?
DrJack54 replied to berro's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Tod will reply at some point. Think he had reports on Facebook group. I needed a COR at CW earlier this year. IO only wanted one thing. TM47 receipt. So it's certainly a recent change. -
IO was confused. That would be the case when changing from based on marriage to retirement from a non O. Assume same as OP you changing to based on retirement. The fact is you ended your permission of stay and reenter visa exempt and applied for NEW non O based on retirement then details of wife etc should not be required.

CW is only immigration office that I'm aware of that has required TM47 receipt to obtain a certificate of residence -

Thai privilege (Elite) visa
DrJack54 replied to A free man's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You make a good point.. Even agents are advertising DTV for a price.. Granted it requires trip outside of Thailand. My thinking PE visa dead in the water unless huge price reduction. Trim off the fringe benefits would help eg golf -
Papers for 90 day report.
DrJack54 replied to watchcat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You can take them out. Have never understood why they staple them into pp in first place. -
Nothing has changed regarding reentry permit. You can see reentry permit desk just past passport control. On one of occasion I had solid que however they processed super fast. For 200b service fee they will do the TM8+ photo etc. Multi is 3800 Single is 1000 Plus service fee if you opt for that. By far best option over obtaining at CW Re immigration ques I have had two trips from DMK in August and was very light traffic. Re exiting and forgetting to obtain reentry permit in my experience over the years the immigration officer has always reminded me. Not that I needed it. Pretty stupid thing to do.

Papers for 90 day report.
DrJack54 replied to watchcat's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Here is thread regarding first 90 day report so in my first post add copy of last TM47 receipt. It's CW but covers most offices. Also what you will find is that immigration officer will just take one or two items that I listed. https://aseannow.com/topic/1297166-90-day-report/
