  1. OP received advice and then posted flame reply. Removed. Thread closed.
  2. Certainly not the only country. Many allow "regular" pp along with "business" pp. In any event slightly off topic.
  3. This is his only option. The earlier suggestion in OP will not work. Not sure of current turn around for UK pp. There is recent thread. Will have a look. Hopefully some UK guy can update.
  4. Country passport ?. I recently renewed my Oz pp all via mail and it turn around time was 20 days. Even if sticker went on last page the io at entry to Thailand will need to search around for place for entry stamp. You planning on extension? That's another stamp. Poor planning.
  5. If you are 50+ and can obtain a non O based on retirement and the only extension option is 12 months. Has financial requirements
  6. You don't need a home base. The question you ask is too open. You can obtain a non O based on retirement from a tourist visa or visa exempt entry. Many threads on this. Seems you might be eligible for a LTV which is relatively new. You also state that you can afford an PE (elite) visa. You do not need to be in UK or France to apply for SETV or non O. Thinking you need to narrow the field on how you want ongoing living in Thailand. Most unmarried guys are on annual extensions from a non O. The non O can be obtained in Thailand or places such as HCMC and Savannakhet etc
  7. Have someone fill it out once and use that as guide for ongoing extensions. Personally long way from 90 however already planning to move to using agent.
  8. Proof funds came from outside of Thailand is only required for application for non O and not for extensions (using money in bank method)
  9. Yes. Note the 60 day tourist visa can also be extended by 30 days if needed..
  10. Because they did and insisted on this. Kasikorn bank 2 weeks ago. FD account.
  11. You clearly did not read links I posted. She needs to enter Thailand on a non O to piggyback on your extension
  12. Yes. You apply with a tm7 and cost is 1900b. Most likely you require TM30 for application.
  13. No. You can apply for non O based on retirement and marriage from a visa exempt or tourist visa entry at your Thai immigration office.
  14. An appointment is not compulsory. Obtain que ticket AM and you will be attended to that day. Do the banking requirements during lunch break.
  15. If you cancelled the first FD account the bank would have kept the bank book. Suggest you go to bank where FD was cancelled and inquire about obtaining some sort of record (bank statement)
  16. Yes. Note it's not a 30 day tourist visa. It's a visa exempt entry and can be extended by 30 days. 1900b You can also do border bounces to obtain 30 + 30 extension twice
  17. eVisa for Thailand was intended to be applied for in your own country or country where you have residence status. There are reports of being able to apply for eVisa while out of pp country. Suggest you apply and if eVisa issued you would not have trouble upon entry to Thailand.

  19. You are obtaining a 12 month extension. What financial requirements are you using. Money in bank or income. Which immigration office?
  20. You require an appointment for Vientiane. It's often booked out weeks in advance Here is link: https://thaivisavientiane.com/# You should be ok for a second SETV. Fall back option if refused is to enter visa exempt at friendship bridge.
