  1. My understanding is that not all land border crossings accept overstay payments.
  2. Just to be clear...... She is flying with a tourist VISA and not visa exempt entry?
  3. Yes, I returned last Tues . Had my vax info etc. Nothing required. BTW hand over passport AND boarding pass for her flight into Thailand.
  4. My most recent extension was November at CW. Lease not asked for (had it with me) however 90 day report receipt was required (not required previously) This time they wanted bank statements (money in bank method retirement) previously bank book pages sufficient. A written set list of requirements for all dealings with immigration would be a godsend. Sadly with approx 75 imm offices there might be 75 different lists.
  5. If you have something like a flight out of the country then immigration may allow you to do your extension earlier than the 30/45 days.
  6. I notice that CW are now asking for 90 day report at document check. This was previously not the norm. I assume they are using that as address confirmation.
  7. Arriving on a tourist visa an onward flight would not be required. Either from airline at departure or immigration on arrival.
  8. There are many folk using income method from a non O based on retirement. Including those from countries embassies that do not provide income letter.
  9. Japan is a fantastic country. We visit 2-3 times per year Think comparison to Thailand is slightly silly. BTW my Thai partner receives 15 day visa exempt entry to Japan. Anyway done with this off topic chat.
  10. Yes my post was not clear. 800k in bank on day of application for the non O retirement visa
  11. You need to register so use second link. They will send you a password via email that you provide. You can then change that password to something more suitable.
  12. The hotel will give you a screenshot of the TM30 however you need to ask them for it. When checking in at hotel make sure to confirm that they do make TM30 reports. If they do not then find another hotel. The TM7 form is the actual form for the extension. It requires a photo. Cost 1900 baht for extension.
  13. Get over it. Luggage carts? Try Melbourne airport. They don't even have them after security.
  14. I'm Oz (western passport) I require a visa for Cambodia, Laos , Vietnam.......just few examples. Currently Vietnam has taken 3 month multi entry off the table. All I can get now is a 30 day single entry Visa. Cannot do border bounce etc. Unlike the many that do that in Thailand.
  15. This thread mentions several options. Maneerat comes highly recommend.
  16. I was not referring to "eventually" but rather the planned trip that you are posting about.
  17. Why don't neighbouring countries such as Laos, Cambodia , Vietnam etc have 45 day visa exempt entries with all the attached border run options. Thailand has many sweet options such as 30 day visa exempt entry with the option of 30 day extension
  18. Then you (imo) will receive 30 day visa exempt stamp. You could consider a tourist visa entry 60 days How long do you plan to stay in Thailand?
  19. Applying for non O retirement using money in the bank requires 800k on day of application. If using income method without income letter from embassy you would need to show 12 month of 65k transfers
  20. Personally can't see reason to extend the 45 day, temporary visa exempt entry. Enter on or prior march 31 and you will be stamped in for 45 days. Sweet deal.
