  1. What?? Yes some superior folk that want to use fast tract and then plead ignorance and are taken to reentry office. The facts are reentry permits are done PRIOR to immigration control at BKK. At DMK it's just other side of passport control. The office clearly visible from pp control. These threads come up too often. People making simple sound difficult.
  2. At CW they state up to 2 weeks. Most often you will receive residence certificate within one week. They will come together if you applied for 2.
  3. Tourist visa gives 60 days visa exempt give 45 days till March 31. Both can be extended by 30 days. Don't see any benefit o training tourist visa. As mentioned previously....to open a bank account best to use agent as that's step one and you need it asap.
  4. Some immigration offices staple them in pp if you do it in person. Crazy imo. Just take photo copy of printed receipt. Obviously best to have original with you. I can sense subtle changes at CW. Just one person's opinion but thinking they are trying to make the requirements able to be processed by the clerks in uniform way. Example ...I have NEVER handed over a 90report for annual extensions retirement. My bankbook pages photocopies were always sufficient. Not this year (November). They wanted bank statements. Also this year dealing with the docs check girls was required. The actual io seemed like a first year uni student.
  5. That's the report I was referring to. The most recent report. Previously not required
  6. Yes. BTW CW are now asking for 90 day report for 12 month extension.
  7. Reentry permit at BKK is just after security check and prior to passport control..
  8. Did you read the OP. "Show 20k in cash on arrival " At a guess he is planning to enter visa exempt.
  9. Cannot find one sensible thing in your post. Facts..... amnesty and then covid extensions were provided by Thai government and that option was extended over and over. After that was ended folk on AseanNow now asked about their options. Border bounces (when borders were opened) were advised as an option.. Regarding fly out and back to places such as Phnom Penh, it was advised to at the very least obtain a tourist visa.
  10. Very bitter post. It's the Thai government that kept providing covid extensions. Why use silly terms such as "proper visa".
  11. You may require onward flight from airline at departure. Not on arrival by Thai immigration. You can buy "rent a flight" from companies such as "onward flight.com".
  12. Presumably if you left you would have a reentry permit. Zero chance of being asked to show funds. The posts in this thread along lines of " never asked " in 95 years of coming to Thailand are irrelevant. That requirement would only come into play when the io is considering refused entry due to eg numerous back to back visa exempt entries and looking for additional reason to reject.
  13. Any equivalent currency. BTW think it changed to 10k for single and 20k family.
  14. What are your plans after the non O?...... obtain 12 month extensions and live in Thailand?
  15. If your non O-A is still valid you could just do a border bounce of fly out/in just prior to expiry and be stamped in for another 12 months. Insurance required. Or do a border run at very end of your non O-A and reenter visa exempt and then obtain a non O at Thai immigration. Then subsequently obtain 12 month extension
  16. Most of your first post is correct. Best to obtain the 12 month extension at least couple of weeks prior to expiry of the 90 day stamp you receive for the non O. When applying for the non O you need 15+ days remaining on your permit. 21days at CM. Where do you plan to live? You can arrive visa exempt and it is 45 days currently till March 31. You can obtain 30 day extension at immigration. No need to exit Thailand. Depending where you obtain your residence certificate that would be an issue at Bangkok. They require you to be doing 90 day reports. Even then the residence certificate can take up to 2 weeks (normally 1). Not all embassies provide letter to satisfy bank (Oz being one) Even then it can take time for others. Best to use an agent for the bank account and do the rest yourself.
  17. The TM30 can be hit and miss. Sometimes immigration insist on it for the type of extension you are applying for . The screenshot would have only been provided if you had asked for it. You mention agent. My partner has some rentals and the agent always provides farang renters with a TM30. If you have an office at condo chat with then .
  18. Yes the immigration office will have tm7. If you are staying in a hotel and they did a TM30 you can ask for a screenshot.
  19. Few basic copies of passport. Identity page last entrance stamp. TM7 form with photo attached. 1900baht. TM30
  20. Which immigration office. Using money in bank method or income method..
  21. Perhaps you can now see that there are many ways to stay for 6 months. Everyone is different. Some folk want to have nothing to do with traveling out of Thailand. Also dealing with immigration office for extensions. Others above have mentioned. (won't list the pros and cons. 1. Non O plus annual extensions. 2. Non O-A (you can actually obtain almost 2 years out of that visa) 3. Tourist visa with extension and visa runs. 4. METV requires you to exit every 2 months (or 3 if you obtain a 30 day extension) There are other options. Personally I would go for METV with trips to Ho Chi Minh. However I'm biased on that. Being Oz you would need eVisa to travel to Vietnam. The exit/reenter for the METV can just be a border bounce Be aware that border bounce is not currently available with Myanmar not possible so from Phuket so not easy via land. The non O with extensions based on retirement requires money in the bank all year. However no exits required. Your wife could piggyback on your non O.
  22. The only way to get rid of your non O-A is to exit country (assume you are on extensions and do not have a valid non O-A) is to exit Thailand and reentry visa exempt and obtain a non O inside Thailand and subsequently obtain 12 month extension. Or exit without reentry permit and obtain non O at a consulate. You must leave Thailand
  23. You can go anywhere you want including exit and reenter Thailand. Don't need to notify anyone. You mention retirement visa. I assume that you are in extensions from a non O or O-A. If you renter with reentry permit then do nothing .
  24. Step 1. Obtain check in with airline. (That can take long time) Step 2: clear security control that can also take time. Step 3: Obtain reentry permit. That does not take long. You can pay 200baht for them to fill in forms etc if you wish. Step 4: que for passport check.
