  1. Completely different. Your posts where incorrect. Hence the emoji and subsequent ignore. BTW read that thread. Several tried to point out your errors.
  2. Why quote slabs from particular airlines. As per the above quote. MANY airlines do not offer online check in for international routes. In November I fly Oz and back with Jetstar. No online check in is possible. Just one example...AirAsia. For flights Vietnam to Thailand there is no online check in. Check in is counter only and opens 2 hours prior to flight. BTW you will be asked for onward flight without visa or reentry permit for that route. Stick with same airline...even when kiosk check is available eg Bangkok to Vietnam and you obtain boarding pass.. That is checked again for visa at boarding gate. I can go on. Your posts above are naive and then you go back through thread and laugh emoji on my threads. Fine.
  3. Find your post unusual. BTW you were cleared to enter after 10 minutes. Perhaps the initial io was inexperienced and subsequent checks is more about saving face for first io. Throw away line you made as follows... "At one time, a thai immigration police general (at least that's what I thought he was from the fruit salad on his shoulders)". Speaks volumes.
  4. A ME non O marriage visa valid for one year is very different to a 12 month extension from a non O.
  5. Just for others reading... You most likely could obtain your extension couple of days after expiry. You would pay overstay and have your extension processed. However that would completely be in the hands of immigration office so no guarantees.
  6. Do nothing just exit. Not required in the situation you describe
  7. One 30 day extension. Assume you are not married to a Thai.
  8. Personally had a hip replacement surgery few months back at excellent private hospital. Cost 400k. Recovery can differ greatly. I had issues that set me back.
  9. If you are yet to open a bank account I would suggest one from this paste from advice from WISE. ... Also be aware that SCB does not have a branch at CW. Savings account or FD account is fine provided that the funds are instantly available without loss (apart from interest) "You can send up to 2 million THB per transfer. Please note that you’ll be able to send 50,000 THB or above per transfer only to the following banks starting from 7 January 2022 due to regulatory changes: Bangkok Bank Public Company Kasikorn Bank Siam Commercial BanK
  10. Two months. When you arrive you will be stamped in for 90 days. Transfer the 800k baht into Thai bank account in your name only. In the last 30 days of your permit obtain an extension. Assume that you have Thai bank account?
  11. I stated that immigration would not know unless someone tells them (x wife) . This thread (one of many) discusses the topic. There also can be an issue with changing to based on retirement at end of extension based on marriage if divorced during the extension period.
  12. Just realized your thread heading. Best to go to transport office in CM and ask what they require.
  13. Didn't miss the point at all. This topic has been done to death. There are various options that suit various folk. Your post is nothing new.
  14. Separate the two parts of your post. Seems that you have obtained a non O marriage. The next step to that is to apply for 12 month extension assuming that is your plan. If just on a holiday then indicate that. Re your licences where are you located
  15. This was advised in my post at the start.... "There are options that are outlined to help travellers feel relaxed. They include trying to obtain boarding pass and if onward flight is requested then step away from counter and book cheapest onward flight"... Making folk aware of that option. Obviously requires internet connection.
  16. The fact that it's a FD account without 'daily transactions ' should not require bank statements. Photocopies of bank book pages along with bank letter should be sufficient.
  17. There are options that are outlined to help travellers feel relaxed. They include trying to obtain boarding pass and if onward flight is requested then step away from counter and book cheapest onward flight. Another option is the "rent a ticket" websites. Also suggest to airline that you are happy to sign a waiver. Etc etc. BTW it is not myself only suggesting these options when asked by posters. Think I'm in pretty good company with an expert such as ubonjoe suggesting the same.
  18. Yes However really good idea to have a minimum of day or two up your sleeve for obscure requirement from immigration. Example request of bank statements even though bank book pages photocopies acceptable in the past ....is example of curve ball.
  19. Yes yes your continual posting on this topic and even now starting a thread is based on YOUR experience. If I recall correctly you do not fly Jetstar from Oz. In any event the advice posted by many is basically that it does occur (requirement for onward flight), even though not in your personal experience.
  20. Who cares. It does occur. Seems more common with low cost airlines and even moreso with flights from nearby countries such as Vietnam etc.
  21. That's correct. If asked for onward flight it would be from the airline at departure not immigration upon arrival. That would only occur flying without visa or reentry permit.
  22. You can apply for extension up till date of expiry of permission of stay. When timing is not an issue most do it some weeks prior to expiry in case extra docs required.
  23. Money in the bank method for extensions does not require to be shown money comes from overseas. Income method different. Ignore the stuff you quoted from Siam Legal.
  24. With an extension based on marriage or retirement you would require a reentry permit. Suggest you obtain at your immigration office or airport. 1000baht single and 3800b multi. TM8 form with photo and some basic photocopies from pp.
