  1. Better to opt for visa exempt entry. e-Visa means process time and gives same 60 day stamp. The recommendation of using minivan border run company is good advice.
  2. Fairly recent thread outlining border run to Laos. (from Chiang Rai) Discussing required stay out of Thailand.
  3. That is possible. You would be advised to use land borders only. Where would you be located in Thailand. Ongoing you could check out DTV which is almost a too good to be true option and does not have Non O age restriction. Clearly you are not 50yr +
  4. The limit of 2 visa exempt entries via land borders was removed. There is no stated limit on visa exempt entries. It is recommended to use a minivan border run agent. In more recent times seems some crossings are insisting on 1-2 night stay out of Thailand. Covered in this thread.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1333235-60-day-visa-exemptions-are-now-unlimited-at-land-borders/
  5. You will need "credit advice" Go to your bank. Discussed in this thread. https://aseannow.com/topic/1304309-proving-65k-monthly-transfers-from-abroad-when-using-wise/#elControls_18293300_menu
  6. With a Non O you can have your own insurance. Plenty of threads such as this one that has few links to other threads. You might start a separate thread in "Health and Medicine forum" . https://aseannow.com/topic/1304061-medical-insurance/
  7. Umm. .. He could have done simple border bounce to reentry visa exempt and obtain a non O at local immigration. No need to go back to passport country. 100b doubt it.
  8. You are typing about a Non O-A. Do you plan to live ongoing in Thailand. If yes then you don't want a Non O-A. You want a Non O. That can be obtained outside of Thailand via e-Visa or at immigration office in Thailand. Does not require any insurance.
  9. https://onwardticket.com/?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAiaC-BhBEEiwAjY99qAcKnHj7mEdt47TFC8FOZcyt7hs7AX7lUukMGA74YWqVCXmLgojQ_hoC3m8QAvD_BwE
  10. That is very different situation to the guy you quoted. He had used an agent and somehow was able to show 12 + monthly transfers and obtained 12 month extension. Miracle imo.
  11. I left out reference to onward flight not required if flying with Visa. Fixed now.
  12. "Rent a ticket" has a real confirmation #. The airline can check. Photoshop altered ticket would only work if airline staff opt not to check it..
  13. Both e-Visa (tourist) and visa exempt entry provide 60 day stamp. Both can be extended by 30 days. Onward ticket should/would not require onward flight for airline at check in if flying with Visa
  14. I suggest the "not idiots" entered visa exempt. Two reasons. Both a visa exempt and SETV would provide them with 60 day stamp. Secondly with a Tourist visa the airline would not ask for onward flight.
  15. It would be stamped on reentry to Thailand.
  16. First up no need to be concerned. What do you mean by ..."...my reentry permit is just sitting in the passport"
  17. Since you have the Thai bank account then you can do the visa exempt entry outlined above. AirAsia will almost certainly ask for onward flight.
  18. Posts in English language removed x 3. Quit
  19. The OP is asking how many flights are required for METV e-Visa application. Also if onward flight can be within 90 days given that each 60 day stamp entry can be extended by 30 days. (genuine questions) Nothing to do with circumventing.
  20. The airline most likely would require onward flight within 60 days. One option is "rent a ticket" Search "onwardticket.com" Process for visa exempt to Non O marriage outlined here., https://aseannow.com/topic/1315828-visa-exempt-to-90-day-non-o-spouse-visa-conversion-in-thailand/ Do you have a Thai bank account in your name only?
  21. Yes this is how visas are obtained now. Referred to as e-Visa. Just provide the information as required in the application. You need to be in Vietnam to apply. Did you consider entering Thailand visa exempt and obtaining the Non O at local immigration office. Are you planning on obtaining a 12 month extension after the Non O Both options now have financial requirements.
  22. Certainly obtaining the non O in Thailand from visa exempt entry is an option. Especially as the OP already has a Thai bank account. The Non O retirement obtained in Oz is also very simple 3-4 day e-Visa application. Avoids extra trip to immigration office. Outlined here.... https://aseannow.com/topic/1341080-anyone-done-a-retirement-visa-o-or-oa-online-recently/
  23. That also is not urgent. Next time you attend teller they will update bank details. Just transfer stamps when 90 report due
  24. As I posted earlier. I attended CW when 90 report due. At same time had stamps transferred. There is no urgency to transfer stamps Regarding online 90 reporting app. . I did not do new registration. I used previous account. Entered new pp number and then the required fields.
  25. No. That rubbish was done at Jomitien and actually never checked. It's a back door check for compliance to financial requirements. Not sure how it would pan out for folks using an agent for extensions (retirement) Thinking those folk would leave transfer of stamps to the agent. Possibly done at time of next annual extension.
